Dear Journal~
Bill writing again. I am on break; have until three o'clock to get my lunch, snarf it down, and then punch back in to continue working.
I get off at six; have been here since ten this morning. Work is--well, you know--WORK. LOL I deal with all kinds of customers who are forever streaming in and out the door; have to make sure they aren't walking out without paying for their merhandise, make sure they have their receipts, make sure their shopping experience at Wal*Mart is a pleasant one, and hope that they come back another day.
(The majority of them do, thank goodness.)
I have worked at this particular Wal*Mart as a people greeter for a little over three years now. I love it. I love dealing with the public, and I love my job. It is never boring, and I meet so many people, the important ones as well as the commonfolk. I have to put on my best smile, and pretend I am having fun, even though my body may be killing me or am not having a good day.
Treat them with kindness, as they say, even though in actuality I may be wanting to cuss them out or worse, especially when people act stupid or walk out the door without paying. That's why the prices keep going up; people keep stealing, and you don't know how many times I have caught people stealing! It's crazy!!
After I get off tonight, I will go home, take a quick shower after greeting my wife, grab a bite to eat, and then head to the hospital to see Johnny. Johnny has been in the hospital for nearly a week now: he had a prolonged seizure that could have killed him; he is finally doing much better, and tomorrow he gets to come back home.
That will be great; when Johnny (or any of the kids, really) aren't home, the family just isn't the same. Poor Ginger, his dog, has been depressed and lonesome without her Master! She will be glad to see him; I know she'll slather his little face with kisses until he's soaked! LOL
Ronee' had her appointment yesterday; she came back home with a look of relief on her face. She was scared that the psychiatrist would find her to be crazy, but t which I told her was ridiculous, but the psychiatrist said she was completely normal. She has been having some issues to deal with, but she is going to be fine, thank the Lord!
Ronee' will be going to see her once a week for about a month or so, just to unload. Ronee' then should be able to handle any problems whenever they come her way.
We are getting ready for our Easter Cantata at church. Easter is in a few weeks; time to get serious, folks. Hopefully there'll be a good turnout, and hopefully all will go without a hitch. I remember a few years back when one of our members of the church played Jesus, and he ended up showing more than he planned. Everyone got a big laugh out of it, but the poor fellow was very embarrassed.
He hasn't been back much since.
Well, I am going to eat now in the cafeteria. Take care, and will write in here again. God bless!
~Bill. :)
