A young man writes down his innermost feelings, sharing his life.

Tuesday, March 27, 2007, 7:49 p.m., D.S.T.~

Dear Journal~

My name is Anh Kim Van Sandusky. I am going to be 20 years old in a few months.

I am in college in Oklahoma. I am attending Oral Roberts University. I am studying to become an evangelist. Schoolwork keeps me well grounded; I hardly have a social life. It is a rare thing when I am not buried in books. LOL

I have decided to go into the Ministry. God has been incredibly awesome in my life. I accepted Christ five-and-a-half years ago when I attended a drama at our church called "Heaven's Gates And Hell's Flames".

It was about the Judgement of Christ and the fate of people who died; it was very powerful, and it moved me to the point of tears, so much, in fact, I decided to accept Christ as my Saviour.

It was shortly after this when He revealed His Plan for my life. He wanted me to go into the Ministry to become a preacher; that is what I am doing. It is vrey interesting, but it is hard learning all of those Bible verses and learning about the history of the Bible and its people/places.

I have been going to college since September of last year. I am doing well, but I miss my family. I won't see my family until summertime, when I go on vacation until the fall. Mom and Dad are doing great: they are still working, still taking care of my brothers and sisters, and getting ready to add new grandkids.

My sisters Dwerlina and Lightning are pregnant: Dwerlina is haivng her first child later this year; Lightning is having hers about the same time. This will be her sixth child.

Mom and Dad have been adding to the family: they have adopted four new children into the family from India, China, Iraq, and my home country of Vietnam; the kids are ages one to eight. All but one (Emir) are healthy; Emir is not. He was injured in a road side bomb blast, lost his arms and legs. He is getting fitted with artificial limbs and will have extensive therapy. It is a very sad story; maybe one day I will share it with you.

They are getting ready to add yet another child: a little three-year-old boy named Bjorn from Finland. Bjorn was born blind and deaf; he can't talk yet, and is quite wild, according to the adoption agency. I hope Mom and Dad can handle another child; they already have more than enough!

(Gad! I will soon have fifty-nine brothers and sisters! It is incredible to comprehend!)

Mom and dad have been busy working: mom is a nurse, has been one for over seven years now, and Dad works at Wal*Mart as a people greeter (three years now). Tammi and Camey are working, as is Barbara: all three are working at Fire Mountain.

My brother Johnny was doing well with his health; he had a seizure last week; from the sound of it, it was a bad one. He is in the hospital now, but will be getting out tomorrow sometime. I will have to call them, so I can say hi to my little brother. I gotta' make sure the little nimrod is going to be okay--

My sister Ronee' has been having some conflicting feelings lately; she has been in a blue funk. She is seeing a psychiatrist, hopefully that will help. Ronee' has been going through some things, she has always been on the sensitive side.

Well, I gotta' go; my roomie is calling me; he wants to go out bowling and then sit and cut the bull at Denny's. Sounds like a good plan; I need to get away from these books! My brain could use a break today!

Will write in here another day; take care, and God bless!

~Anh Kim Van.

Oh, the dog?  My new pet.  Buster.  Isn't he...cute?  I think so.  LOL
