Dear Journal~
This early morning, I am writing with a heavy heart. I am worried about Kendra's daughter, Kia, and also Audrey's daughter, Maddie (not so much Maddie, but Kia).
When I talked to Kendra yesterday, she was in tears. It appears that her daughter Kia was raped. I guess it happened either yesterday or the day before. She and her daughter are understandably devastated.
As for Maddie, she is dealing with memory loss. The doctors don't know if it's permanent or not, but Maddie is still having issues about it.
I feel so helpless. Two of my friends are hurting, and there's nothing I can do about it. All I can do is try to be supportive and be there for them, if not in the physical sense, but in the spirit sense; and pray like thunder.
I went to bed last night in tears. Bill was concerned; he held me in his warm, strong arms, and he just let me cry. I felt somewhat better, but my heart feels like it's been squeezed dry. I hope the kids didn't hear me crying; I don't want them to worry; they are already worried enough about things going on in their own lives.
In all this doom and gloom, there is one bright spot: Johnny is coming home from the hospital! He'll be home sometime this afternoon! I am sure he is chomping at the bit, asking the doctor to hurry up and release him or driving the nurses crazy! LOL
Johnny will be taking some new medications for his seizures. They started giving him the meds while he was in the hospital; they seem to be helping. The doctors are pleased with the progress he's made, and we are pleased as punch, too! :)
In other news, Kendra may be coming sometime next month, but it is still up in the air at the moment. That would be good if we could see her or the kids (where ARE we gonna' put everyone?? HELLLLLLP! LOL). She is excited about our upcoming adoption of little Bjorn; she just added two little girls from Africa to her brood, Gemini and Jenna, and they are both adorable!
The weather here is sunny and warm, temps in the sixties to mid seventies. We may be in for some rain by the weekend, with possible severe weather. I hope not; I don't do severe weather that well, espeicially since we suffered damage from a storm a few years back. We were misplaced for a while; we stayed at a homeless shelter, but it was only temporary. It is nothing I'd care to do again, thankyewverymuch!
Well, I am going to leave for work; will write in here again later today. Take care, dear Journal, and God bless!
(((HUGS))) and much love, your friend, Louie May. :(
