More jottings from Aurora, who is very depressed about what is going on in her life.
This is, of course, fiction.
Friday, April 6, 2007, 5:37, M.T...oh, SHOOT! It's an hour later here in Nashville; I keep on forgettin'!)~
Dear Journal~
Aurora Skydancer here. Life's a total bitch, if you know what I mean.
The good news (IF any)? I am gettin' kicked out of the hospital either today or tomorrow, but then I go to the g.d. nursing home, to continue my recovery (and where the docs and nurses can keep tabs on me--guess they want to make sure I don't cheat on my diet again). I feel like a goddamn prisoner; I have absolutely NO freedom whatsoever!
I AM getting stronger and (the nurses say) meaner. Well? Look at me. I weigh as much as a house, the food here sucks, and I am being told to exercise. Maybe that is all in good, but I have ARTHRITIS; it's HARD for me to be able to move without screaming in pain!! I have terrible knees, and my back is shot. I may be in my later forties now, but I have the health of a ninety-year-old; hell, a NINETY-YEAR-OLD gets around better than I do on my crutches!!
I will say this though: my one nurse, Louie, she's alright. She means well, but she can get on my nerves with her cheerful, chirpy nature. She is like a little songbird: she flits here and there, and she is always singing. She usually sings in French. I don't know French. I wish she'd sing the songs in English!
Yet I haven't seen Louie in the past week. Wonder where she's at? I miss her, even her cheery nature. Instead I got Maureen, who is about as cuddly as a pit bull; she's MEAN! I also have Agness (two esses in her name; guess her momma wanted to be different!) and Florita. They have been okay, I guess, but they are definitely better than Maureen! I can't STAND Maureen! She's a bitch in the worst sense!
Before Louie disappeared on me, she was showing me pictures of her family. She has a very tall husband (he's Native American too, like me), and she has a whole shitload of kids, kids of all colors, kids of all sizes, kids of all ages. Her family looks just like a rainbow. She was telling me that she and her husband are adopting another one. When she told me that, I looked at her and told her she was CRAAAAZY!!
I don't know what I am going to do: stay here in Tennessee or go back to New Mexico. I guess Nashville is okay if you like music, but I miss my New Mexico way of life, my friends, my family. Tennessee is too humid, too noisy, too....GREEN. LOL Guess I will have to make a decision after I get out of the nursing home--that is, if I EVER get out again.
I'm not looking forward to it. I don't want to be around all those little old ladies or men; old people freak me out, big time! Why can't I go back HOME, to my HOUSE, instead of having to go to the nursing home?? It's NOT fair, I tell ya, it's just. NOT. FAIR!!!
Well, I just managed to depress myself all the more, so on that note, I am gonna scoot and pop me a beer, put on some Hank Sr., and cry in it! I feel just like his one song: "I'm So Lonesome I Could Cry". Ain't it the truth!
There's a tear in my beer.........LOL Sorry, Aurora's depressed feelings come through in emotional lines; a bitter humor, too: this one is excellent; well done.
(((HUGS))) and love, Karla.

This is a wonderful write! I love how you can bring each character to life with their own personality!! Aurora certainly tells it like it is, not beating around the bus with her. Excellent portral of a person who is angry with what's happened to them. The raw honesty is what makes this character so believable! Keep up the great writes!
A page-turning novel about a relationship between best friends that is interrupted because of betrayal , deceit, sexual promiscuity and pregnancy happens!
A poignant story about letting go of a narcissist in your life. Have you ever been attacked FULL force by a narcissist? It's the closest thing to being stabbed over and over in the back.
Suspenseful and close to home, Rain of Deception 2 will leave you in Tears. Much like Part 1, this will shocking sequel will keep you on the edge of your fingertips.
