Louie Sandusky updates her friends on what is going on, and she may not be able to e-mail her friends for a long while due to the rapid changes in her life.
She does plan on updating us from time to time; this won't be the last time you've heard from her! :)

Dear One And All~
Louie Sandusky here. Please forgive me if I don't respond to your e-mails, but things are fixin' to get busy here--very busy, in fact.
We are adopting a sixtieth child, a little boy (aged three years) from Finland who is blind and deaf (he was born this way). We also found out that little Bjorn Wilhem was born an albino child; he has incredibly fair skin, pale, pale blue eyes that do not see, and snow white hair. He is absolutely beautiful! He should be here within the month, the way things are looking now; we can't wait! :) We will be welcoming our newest child with open arms! :)
Friends, in other news, my dearest husband (Bill) is going into the hospital on Wednesday, where he will face his fourth back surgery. Bill, as you know, has had back problems for years, plus he has arthritis and sciatic nerve pain. This is why he's hobbled around on crutches.
The doctor says if he doesn't have anything done, he'll end up in a wheelchair within the year or will end up paralyzed from the waist on down. It is a risky surgery, but we are relying on the Lord to help us (and him) through it. I will keep you posted as to how he does; stay tuned!~
The kids are well. Our son with MD, Johnny, has recovered from his most recent hospital stay. He was in for about a week; he had a bad seizure, but he seems to be okay, thanks to new meds that seem to be doing their job. He did give us a scare though; but now that is thankfully overwith.
Ronee' is having problems with her allergies acting up, but she is otherwise well. She sang yesterday at our annual church Cantata for Esater, and she did a super job. She sang "The Old Rugged Cross". The Cantata was a rousing success other than a few glitches with the sound system, and also one of our church members, Mack, had a little problem with his robe. Let's just say he showed more than he planned to. :) (Mack played the role of Jesus. This incident occurred during the part about when Jesus ascends into Heaven.)
The congregation got a good laugh about it (as did us who were on stage; we had a beautiful view of his red underwear), but I thought Pastor Bilkey was going to choke. He was doing everything he could not to lose it; I felt sorry for the man.
After church, we went out to eat at the Golden Corral. We then came home, where the kids had their Easter Egg Hunt (held indoors this year, thanks to it being colder than normal here). The kids enjoyed their goodies, but I stressed them to think about the REAL Reason for Easter: the Resurrection of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.
They got the message, loud and clear. :)
Now that the Cantata is over, we can get back to business and get ready for little Bjorn's arrival. We also can get ready for spring (that is, if it ever warms up; I thought winter was behind us, but noooo...winter decides to have the last laugh on us!).
We were going on a cruise to Mexico this year (meaning Bill and myself to celebrate our upcoming 16th wedding anniversary), but we had to cancel it, thanks to Bill's surgery. Oh, well. His health is much more important than a little ol' cruise; we can go on a cruise anytime. :) (This would have been our second trip to Cozumel and Playa del Carmen. We went last year, and we had a wonderful time.)
Friends, I hope you don't get angry with me if I don't respond to your lovely e-mails, but now you know why. Things are fixin' to get really hairy here, and I won't have much time to do anything. I'll be lucky if I get to write in my journals like I have been doing. I'll be taking care of a recovering husband, not to mention, a whole passel of kids who need as much attention as he does--if not, even more. Oh, well, that's what I get for taking in so many kids in the first place! LOL
I will be updating you from time to time on how Bill is doing, not to mention the rest of the Sandusky Contigent. We won't let you down; you haven't heard the last from me. You just won't hear from me as much.
Take care, one and all, and know I love each and every one of you very much. God bless you too, and hope to see you down the road!
Signing off for now, your friend in Tennessee, Louisiana May Sandusky. :)
...things are fixin' to get busy, very busy...." You mean with fifty nine kids, work, books, letter writing, health crisises, they haven't been busy?? I'd hate to see Louisiana on a slow day! LOL Does the woman ever...relax??? LOL
Super-Mom. Super-Woman. That's our beloved Louisiana!! Well done; enjoyed this journal entry.
Let this coming of age story of a boy named Bean take you back to a simple time. Set in a small southern town in the 1960's, encircled by a river and gleaming white cotton fields.
