Ronee' writes about different things going on in her life, and the fear she feels inside about her father's impending back surgery.

Tuesday, April 10, 2007, 7:14 a.m., D.S.T., Nashville, Tennessee~

Dear Journal~

Hey~ Ronee' here.

I am feeling a tangle of emotions: I am happy, yet again, I'm stressin' out. I am happy because the Cantata went better than expected (15 people ended up accepting Christ, which was the main agenda behind it), and yet on the other hand, I am worried.

Daddy is going to have back surgery on Thursday; he has a really bad back that causes him blinding pain, and sometimes the pain is so bad it makes him sick to his stomach. He can't hardly walk at times, and it hurts me to see him suffering. He walks on crutches, and he walks like an old man.

Daddy's doctor said that if he doesn't get his back fixed he'll end up paralyzed and/or in a wheelchair. It's that serious.

I am gonna' have to do some heavy-duty praying, to ensure that daddy makes it through his surgery and recovery.

Mamma is home from work; she is taking some time off to be with daddy (and us). It's nice to see her; she's been working waaaaaaaaaaaay too much at the hospital as it is, and she was on the verge of a collapse; she was beyond exhausted. Now that she is home, she already looks better: she doesn't look nearly as pale as she did last week.

School is going well, no probs there. I just have homework, which is a drag; yet I do it because it is required of me. If I don't do my scheduled assignments I don't pass; it's that simple.

My health has been good, very good: oh, I still have the pain from my arthritis, but I take my meds to keep it in check. I also have my allergies: been coughing and hacking like sixty; at times I sound like a Canada goose, and people end up lookin' at me like I am carrying the bubonic plague or something. It's embarrassing! LOL

Johnny has been doing great since coming out of the hospital: no seizures, no unexpected surprises. He had to go to the doctor last week for a checkup, still waiting on that. (His MD doctor, not Dr. Emmons, his regular doctor.) Hopefully the news'll be good. He could use some good news lately.

We all could. Somehow when someone has a terminal disease, it affects ALL the family, not just the person with the disease. Somehow, when Johnny suffers, we ALL suffer, right along with him.

Rebekkah, his girl, is doing great: she is moving more and more each day; she may be released from the rehab center sooner than expected. Maddie her sister is doing good, too. I am glad for both of them; they really had us worried when they were shot!

The weather here in Nashville has been CRAAAAAAAAAZY. Colder'n normal, even had SNOW a few days ago. It's chilly again this morning; it feels more like January than April! We had our Easter Egg Hunt indoors this year; only found three eggs. Johnny did too. Arjun and Rani found the most, five each. They were happy, and they were excited. They loved it! :)

Well, it's about time to hang this up. Am waiting for the first bell to ring. (Yeah, I'm at school. Waiting for the bell to ring, so I can go to homeroom to start yet another day in the mines. *grins*) Will write in here again soon; take care and God bless!

~Luv, your gal-pal, Ronee' Le-Anne. :D

Honest and gentle outpourings of a sweet nature and strong personality, full of compassion and knowing concern for all those around her. It IS amazing just how cathartic journal-keeping can be... I am sure, as you let things pour, the mind is problem-solving right along with it. This talking "to self" is as if talking to God in prayer. I am sure it will be very effective. TY as always, Karen... and my, hope Kitty can go to school too... how relaxing is that visual?? LOL K xx

I like how Ronee views her school day as "another day at the mines." Yes, school was not my favorite, I just liked socializing.....lol! Another great entry into the ever increasing Journal by a family so close to one another. I enjoy this very much!! Keep on writing my friend!!

Smiles,
Dorothy

Sounds like a very good idea to me.
