Dear Journal~
Louisiana here. I have just enough time to write in here before I start my shift for the day. I work today from seven until two/two thirty (give or take a few, or depends if I have an relief coming in. Hope so! :) ). Meanshile, I'm in my office, trying to wake up; I am soooo sleepy this morning! *YAAWWWN* (Give. me. coffee. NOW! LOL)
Bill was keyed up last night: he watched the NASCAR Nextel Race from Texas Motor Speedway (in Fort Worth), and he got so excited he worked himself into an asthma attack. He had to put on the oxygen tubing, and his heart monitor was going pretty fast! VRRROOOM! LOL I got a little concerned for him; I was tempted to turn off the tv a few times when Bill got a little loud! LOL (I am sure the patients on the floor could hear him yelling! LOL)
My husband is a NASCAR nut. I sometimes kid him by telling him he should have married a race car or a NASCAR babe because even though I do (secretly) like the auto racing, I'm not as crazy about it as a lot of people. I can take it or leave it. I am too busy with things going on in my life to be worrying about the smell of gasoline, the thrill of the race itself,, or worrying about whether someone is going to get killed on the track--or in the stands, for that matter: there have been instances where people have gone to the race--only to end up getting killed by flying debris or even a tire.
Personally, those race cars scare the liver out of me. They go so fast, and if they crack up, it's going to be a bad one. Look at what happened to the late Dale Earnherdt Sr.: He was in a race, and he crashed. It was a bad one: he instantly broke his neck, and he died, right there. It was a dark day for racing fans, and ever since, I have been terrified to see the drivers speeding around the track like demons.
I am glad none of my older kids got into the auto racing: I'd have gone to my grave with worry long ago!
Today after work I am going to go home so I can see the kids and take a shower. I am starting to stink. (NOT really, but I do smell. LOL Guess I will have to disguise my odor with tons of magnolia perfume; then I risk choking everyone halfway to death! LOL) I am also running out of clean clothes--namely MINE. LOL
I am going to check my e-mails; I probably have a ton of 'em! Not unusual for me! LOL I have to see if I have heard from any adoptive parents to see if I can send them literature about international or special needs adoption. Life is never dull for this busy woman! No sireee! LOL
If I am having a slow day, I'm more than likely sick. LOL
Well, I have nine minutes (and counting) left before I start my shift for the day, so I will go along for now. Take care, dear Journal, and God bless you always! Will write in here again soon!
~Love, your friend, Louie May. :D
P.S.: Bjorn comes next week. We are getting excited; we cannot wait!! :)
Adorable write, poor Bill's lungs became a casualty of the race, eh? LOL Leave it to Bill! I can just imagine him hollering and Louie saying, "HUSH! This is a hospital." LOLOLOL Well done!
Cars should go Vroom. . .not lungs! I truly enjoy reading these journal notes. . . better than reality tv (yeech!)
blessin's and (((Hugs))) from your Hoosier Poet/Sistah,
cynth'ya
A wicked Cajun Fairy named Robes Pierre entered the impenetrable Magical doll land of Sha Bebe. Queen Faustina, the ruler of the doll land, thought she had destroyed him, but he's back! Will the doll land survive his evil ways?
The familiar lament of dual-career parents raising children is, "I just can't do it all." The Libra Solution provides an alternative - a more satisfying and sustainable work and life approach - to the overwrought modern day norm.
