Dear Journal~
Bill here. I am home from the hospital; I got out earlier today, and as long as I don't move wrong, I'll be okay. I am not in too much pain at the moment; 'course I took a pain med a bit ago, which helps. :)
I am wearing a back brace, have to wear it for a while until I hear some more. It's annoying; I want to move, but can't because the brace restricts movement, and when I have an itch, I can't reach it. It's driving me crazy!!
My appetite has returned; my dear wife made me my favorite dinner (home made meat loaf with mashed potatoes, YUMMM!); it was delicious! I'm still drooling when I think how good it tasted! :P LOL
The kids were glad to see me, but I told them not to jump on me or hug me too hard; my back would become unhinged, and then I'd be at sqare one all over again. They didn't want that, so they listened (for once). LOL They aren't bad kids, but you know how kids get mischevious or exhuberant; that's their nature; we must put up with it. LOL
Oh, ick. Ginger, Johnny's dog just ate a waterbug. *Cringe* I hate those things; they give me the creepy creeps! How positively gross!
Well, I am sure you heard about the shootings at Virginia Tech in Virginia; it was horrible, and now my heart is greving for the families. Why did this had to happen, why didn't anyone intervene sooner so there'd be fewer victims, why did the guy end up killing himself? Why didn't the police just arrest him or try to stop him before it was too late? That's all that's been on the news lately, and frankly, I'm getting sick of it! Talk about media overload!
Today is a sad day in our nation's history: it is the anniversary of the Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, bombings at the McMurrah Building, where 30+ people (many of them preschool children) were killed by homegrown terrorist Timothy McVeigh. It was a dark day for our nation indeed, as our any events of this nature; sad at how our world has decayed into madness! We must never forget, and we must always remember!
I wonder why God allows things like the above to happen. It isn't fair, but then, who said life IS fair? Only God knows why He allows these things to happen; we will be given the answer when we go to Heaven; until then, though, we must ponder the question and try to understand, no matter how difficult it may be.
I am going to go now. Have to go take care of the kids as best as I can (as long as I don't screw up the doctor's handiwork I'll be okay!). I'll just have to have the little Louers help me. She's good at that. :)
