Louisiana is excited beyond words: her friends the Callaways are on their way to Tennessee, and she has found out that her friend in California, Kendra Mae Kent, is pregnant--with triplets. She is also excited because the family is on their way to Louisiana for the Breaux Bridge Crawfish Festival.
I have now been with Authorsden for five years. Five years ago today I posted my first two stories "Not Knowing The Meaning of Giving Up" and "Accepting Differences In People". :D

Dear Journal~
Louisiana here. I and the family are on our way to Louisiana for the Breaux Bridge Crawfish Festival, which is this coming weekend. We are now in Little Rock, Arkansas; we are pulling into the parking lot at a Golden Corral for lunch; soon we will be eating and stuffing our faces. *grins*
So far the trip has been uneventful (if you can call traveling with over 50 kids "uneventful" LOL): no unexpected problems other than Todd throwing up all over (he's fine; he just has a sensitive stomach; certain smells bother him, the poor dear) and Jodie messing up her diapers again. *PHEW* LOL The kids have been behaving: they are entertaining themselves by playing their handheld games, board games, reading, or watching some of the DVD's we have on file just for them to make the trip go faster. They are being very quiet, and at times I have to see if they are all on the bus! LOL
I am excited beyond belief: I found out that my friend Kendra Kent and her husband Michael are expecting triplets!! Not one, not two, but three babies! My goodness! I am so happy for her I could just bust!
I also found out that Audrey and her family are on their way to Nashville, where they will make their new home. They are currently in Arizona now, heading towards New Mexico. I hope and pray they continue to have a safe trip, especially since Susie is so medically fragile; I hope she makes the long journey without any problems cropping up; that'd be the LAST thing they need! I won't rest until I see Audrey face to face; only then will I stop feeling nervous!
Ronee' is now sitting across from me, practicing on her Cajun accordion. She sounds really good; she has been playing that thing for seven years now, and she plays like a professional. It's uncanny to hear so much talent from someone not even fifteen years old yet! She also is singing, and her voice is strong, true , and rings like a bell. It's beautiful to hear!
Johnny is playing his fiddle, accompanying his sister, and he sounds great too. He's been "fiddlin' around" since he was only five years old, and he is really polished on the instrument. I just hope his health holds out so he can continue to perform; it will be a sad day indeed when he will no longer be able to do this. (I keep hoping that day won't come for a long time; I am enjoying the good health that Johnny is currently experiencing; I know he is, too!)
Now that we are going to get off the bus (so we can eat!), I will shut this down until we are done eating. Be back in a little while~
~Love, Louie.
Am back! Now our bellies are full of fine Golden Corral cuisine (I had the fried potatoes, keilbasa sausage, onions, lettuce, cucumber, and tomato salad with French dressing, and for dessert, peach cobbler, YUM!), we can get back on the bus and continue our journey towards Louisiana.
The sky is looking a little dark; some rain may be mving in. Hope it doesn't get ugly; I don't like driving when there's blinding rain, lighting spitting along the road, hail dinging our bus (I'm always afraid the windows are going to get busted by the hail), or funnel clouds teasingly dancing in the stormy skies. You never know when those things are going to drop down for a visit and become a full-fledged tornado. Those things are nothing to mess with! I know Johnny's weather radio will be going off before too long; it really is starting to look nasty....
I will write in here another day; fixin' to get clocked with stormy conditions, and the weather radio is going off (severe thunderstorm warning; area is under a tornado watch until 8 tonight). Wondermous. That's one thing I did NOT want to hear! I will write in here later, probably when we are in Louisiana; hopefully the weather will behave itself for the Crawfish Festival!
Take care and God bless!
~Love, your Tennessee friend, Louie May Sandusky (currently in Arkansas, headin' towards Louisiana for the Breaux Bridge Crawfish Festival!). :D
Drive safely, Louie, and I hope the Sanduskys arrive safely, so we can read of their time at the Breaux Bridge Crawfish Festival! Save me some mudbugs...although, I doubt that 60 plus people in the Sandusky clan will anything be left over. LOL Well done! Laissez les bon temps rouler!
(((HUGS))) and love, Karla.

..."no unexpected problems other than Todd throwing up all over (he's fine; he just has a sensitive stomach; certain smells bother him, the poor dear)"... So true, I always did have a sensitive stomach, but I love eatin' those spicy mudbugs too... :-)~~~~~~
