Katrina Delchamps is getting ready to go on a cruise; she and her husband to be are getting married this weekend, and then they will settle in their new home in Alaska. As you can imagine, Katrina is beside herself with excitement.

Dear Journal~
Everything all packed; what isn't packed has already been shipped to our new place in Alaska.
Tomorrow we leave for the airport; flying to Vancouver, British Columbia, in Canada, where we will then board ship and start the cruise. Can't hardly believe it's almost here! This will be my last entry from Nashville, Tennessee; I am pullin' up my reins and fleeing this area for a new life.
I liked the people in Nashville (Nashville is where I met Frank!), but it was too quiet, too noisy, too--green. :) I also don't like country music; give me zydeco or Cajun anytime--that, or R & B! :) I am not looking forward to the colder weather, but I guess that's part of the price I have to pay when moving to Alaska! *grins*
I am excited: we not only go on the cruise; we are getting married. I will be Katrina Hammer in a few days; no more Katrina Delchamps. I love my new husband to be more than ever: he still treats me like a queen. He is my world, my life, my everything! :) I am so lucky to have Frank Hammer in my life!
I have the wedding dress packed, it is really pretty. It was a dress that belonged to a friend; she gave it to me before I left for Tennessee after Katrina hit New Orleans. Frank has his tux packed too, but those are going with us; no way would we ship those off!
To tell you the truth, I am getting nervous. I hope the wedding goes without a hitch! I have been watching that reality show on NBC "The Wedding Crashers", and I am scared our wedding will be hit. I don't know what I would do if something were to happen during the wedding; I'd cry!! I think of that show, and I get nauseated.
I don't know what I'll be doing when we get to Alaska, but one thing's for sure: I hope our new house has a fireplace! I will be wrapping myself in blankets, putting on extra sweaters, and be sitting by the fireplace; hear Alaska is mighty cold!
If there's snow on the ground when we get there, I'll be tempted to move back. NAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH. (I can always put more clothes on, as Frank says, or he'll hold me in his arms, make me forget how cold the weather really is. Mmmm. Sounds nice! I can handle that...Frank is my big, sweet teddybear! :) )
Well, I am going to be leaving; saying goodbye to my friends here (I know I'll be crying buckets of tears!); it will be especially hard to say goodbye to Louisiana Sandusky and her village. I loved them so much; they made me feel welcome--that was, until Frank Hammer came two-steppin' into my world! :) I will write in here again (probably on the ship or when we get to Fairbanks). Stay tuned for more from me!
~Kat Delchamps (soon to be Hammer), last entry from Nashville, Tennessee, May 4, 2007.
Pulling up stakes and moving on to grand new adventures: wish I could join Katrina and Frank on their cruise and in Alaska, where the only storms are magnetic! Excitement fairly bursts from Kat's journal entry; can't say I blame her. Well done!
A page-turning novel about a relationship between best friends that is interrupted because of betrayal , deceit, sexual promiscuity and pregnancy happens!
Suspenseful and close to home, Rain of Deception 2 will leave you in Tears. Much like Part 1, this will shocking sequel will keep you on the edge of your fingertips.
