The pink toad laughed raucously, as the protoplasmic intruder tortured the clouds, cutting swathes of coruscating radiance through their tenuous and fragile forms. Hostage to gravity, and victims of predatory high-energy photons and X–Rays, they gave themselves up to their friend, the wind, and with the softest of sighs, dissolved into the nothingness of the planet’s purple sky. They would soon regroup, once this human idiot had been dealt with.
‘Dammit!’ Mordica exclaimed, ‘Dammit to perdition and purgatory.’
