You may not believe this, but I hope you are sitting down when I break the news to you. Are you ready? Good!
This is Anh. I just found out not even ten minutes ago that mom is pregnant. Pregnant as "having a baby". Pregnant as in "Anh, you're going to be a big brother".
I find it hard to believe! Especially since mom already has adopted sixty kids.
In nine months the family will grow to sixty-one kids: 60 adopted, one born to the parent (mom). It seems incredible to think about!
Dad took mom to the doctor after she came home early from work (she got sick at work, she came home about noon); she's now fine, but daddy took her to the doctor anyway. That was when Dr. Harlowe broke the news. Mom is about one and a half months pregnant. That is why she's been feeling sick the past few mornings. Morning sickness.

I don't know how the rest of the kids are going to take the news: I mean, it isn't every day when a person becomes pregnant after adopting a whole slew of kids!
I guess it happened by accident. Wow, what a Mother's Day THIS has turned out to be! Just a few days ago, mom was acting--well, normal--; today and yesterday she woke the household up with her puking; today, we find out she's PREGNANT, nearly two months along. In another month she'll start to show. Then the evidence will really be seen, and people'll soon start to wonder if she is...well, you know.
I guess that means we will have to get used to little hands, little fingers, little toes, little EVERYTHING. Little messes, cries in the middle of the night (and during the day), with total attention focused on The Baby, as The Baby can't take care of itself. Time for older kids to turn jealous, wonder why mama is no longer paying attention to them, not like she used to.
I guess that means toys scattered all over the room, food strewn on the floor (and walls), the (refreshing?) smell of baby poop or dirty diapers. Ahhh, can't you just smell it all already?? (UCK.)
Still, all and all, I am thrilled to pieces!
I wouldn't be surprised if the local news got wind of this. This is definitely newsworthy material! Sixty kids, all adopted, and the mother of this burgeoning brood becomes PREGNANT. I bet in a few weeks the place will be crawlin' with news people, all wanting to get an interview of "the Miracle Woman". LOL
God continues to work in His mysterious ways in our family. What next??
Karen, You are clever with creating new storylines with twists! There's Anh adopting a bunch of kids then finding out that she herself is pregnant. Boy of boy! What a story!
Loved it! Sounds like the makings for a movie, forget cheaper by the dozen! Just think miracle woman could replace that old show, The Bionic Woman! Can't imagine, but I loved the description of the house, toys strewn around and the food, diapers...sounds like life with my daughter when she was small, a real tornadoe she was! Great write my friend! Keep em coming!
