An imposing cabinet grand piano without a name on its fall board was cherished by its parting owner.
Alice spoke about the day her towering upright left her home. "Yes, I watched it leave and it wasn't a big deal at that point. The important thing was that I knew the young woman was going to take good care of the piano because she promised me that she wasn't going to let anybody bang on it. I said to her, 'it's like you're taking part of my arm, but I'm willing to let it go.' "
