Ronee' is auditioning for a chance of a lifetime; she is very nervous, but is trying to remain hopeful.

Tonight is IT. The big one. The chance of a lifetime. If I blow it, my life isn't over, not by a long shot, but still...I would be the one to feel bad if I mess up.

I am auditioning for a chance to be on the new tv talent show "America's Got Talent". If I do well, I will have a chance to come back, perform again, try for a trip to the semi finals, which will be held in Las Vegas, Nevada, in August. If I do well there, I'll be in the finals. Big stuff ahead of me; have to buckle down, and practice, practice, practice!!

If I make it to the finals, I will have a chance to win a million smackaroos. Heady stuff to shoot for, but I'm willing, more than willing, to give it a shot!

I will have to perform on stage in front of three major judges (David Hasselhoff, a world-renowned actor/singer best known for his roles on "Night Rider" and "Baywatch"), Sharon Osborne (rock legend Ozzy Osborne's wife), and British music critic Piers Morgan, who is known for his "kind" critical reviews on different people (he makes Simon Cowell, a fellow Britainer, look like a purry, contented pussycat! :)  ). (He's MEAN!!

Yikes.

Tonight, I will be performing the Cajun music classic, "Jambalaya (On The Bayou)", and accompanying myself on the Cajun accordion. I was originally going to do Loretta Lynn, sing "Coal Miner's Daughter", but I decided to do Cajun music instead; Cajun music is what I am most comfortable doing, and I enjoy it very much. If I do well, great; if not, oh, well...no biggie, but I am going to try my darndest to do as well as I possibly can!

If I blow it, it isn't the end of the world; the music business is so full of wannabe-stars, and it is awfully hard to make it. You've got to have that certain Y factor, that certain extra something that sets you apart from all the rest, and you have to have the drive and determination (something I am NOT lacking of).

I want to be a famous country (Cajun) music performer, be as well known as Loretta Lynn, who is one of my heroes. I have always loved to sing/make music, and it would be a dream come true for me. Yet I am starting, still considered amateurish to today's musical standards. Besides, I have all my life to work towards this goal: I'm only a teenaged kid, not even fifteen years old yet. I have the whole world ahead of me,  have plenty of time to experience things, have plenty of time to practice, try to perfect my craft.

I am nervous, though: seems like every time I've auditioned for something important, the ol' nerves get a hold of me, and the last time I auditioned for something I got so uptight I threw up--all over the stage.

Let's just say I didn't pass the audition. I didn't make it.

I was mortified, but my family tried to console me, told me it wasn't the end of the world; at least I didn't do something like fall off the stage--or pass out cold! Now THAT would be embarrassing! LOL

I will let you know next time how my audition went, but right now I have to practice, then rehearse when we get to the studios where "AGT" is taped. Then I will audition, and depending on how well I do, I just may be on the show. I am nervous as all get out, but I am going to try to do my family proud, give it my all, try my best, try to think positive in all this. I am going to go now. I will write in a few days to a week, depending. Stay tuned~

Bye for now!

~Luv, your gal pal, Ronee' Le-Anne Reaux (future star????). :D

I imagine Ronne's tense moments as he waited with hopeful and anxious expectations were feelings we've all had at one time or another. I've never thrown up, as Ronne did, but I certainly have had plenty of butterflies in my stomach at times. Nicely written, Karen.
