Johnny is happy because his upcoming MRI appointment has been cancelled. He is also happy about other exciting things that are going on in his life.

I'm in a great mood: my MRI test that I was scheduled to have in the next few weeks has been cancelled. Why? Too many patients scheduled for the same test? The doctor got sick? The machine broke down (I hope, I hope!)? Well, it's because the MRI machine went *pfft!* That thing done broke down. Now patients who need to have their MRI tests done have to go to different hospitals; as for me, I somehow got overlooked, so no MRI!
I am glad! Whenever I have to have an MRI done, they have to knock me out for the test: otherwise, I'd try to break the machine, trying to get outta' there. You see, I am severely claustrophobic. Don't get me in no teeny-tiny spaces, or you may not like the results! I'll wig. Big time! So they knock me out; that way I don't know anything until the test is over.
I prefer it that way. :)
Eventually, I'll have to have the MRI done, but for now, no MRI. I can concentrate on being a kid, concentrate on my baseball games, performing, playing my video games, playing outside with my family or my friends. Be a regular kid, in other words.
So far, I've had a great summer. I have already performed several times at festivals in Louisiana and Tennessee, have gone to the CMA Music Festival here in Nashville, and am going to see Loretta Lynn when she comes back to Nashville. I also may end up seeing Reba and Ronnie Milsap; they're also scheduled to play Nashville later this year. :) Fun times ahead for me! WHEE! :)
In addition to the concerts/performing, baseball, playing my vid games, and hangin' out with family/friends, we have July 4 to look forward to; that's always a good time. I especially love the fireworks.
Mama and daddy are still trying to figure out where they're going to take the kids on vacation. So far they've narrowed it down to Animal Kingdom or Universal Studios both in Orlando, Florida, or Cedar Point in Sandusky, Ohio. I've been to Cedar Point before (three times), but I think I'd rather go to the former because we've never been to Animal Kingdom or Universal Studios before (have been to DisneyWorld before, but not the other two places), and I wonder if they're as good as Cedar Point, which is, by far, the best amusement park around! :) All those roller coasters! Whee! :)
We'll probably go to the amusement park in August, the way things are looking now. Just hope my health continues to hold out!
I have already gotten burned several times; I keep forgetting the sunscreen! I wish I could tan instead of burn; I'm tired of looking like a crawfish all of the time!!
Well, I am going to go; my friend Jose' and his family have invited me to go with them to the Nashville Zoo. Mama and daddy both said I could go, but mama's gotta' go with me (in case something should happen; with my medical problems you can never tell when I'll have something like a seizure or a breathing attack; it's for my own good, she says, but personally, I find it to be annoying!!). Stupid MD! GRRR!!
I'll write about the zoo next time; it will be a lot of fun! :)
Enjoyed this one my friend, and enjoyed the memories that you've given this morning. I recall going to Cedar Point when I was a little girl, it was a blast...we had relatives that lived in Sandusky and it was a yearly visit there and King's Island...both a lot of fun where I took my children when they were small, now with them all grown up, and married, I don't visit either anymore. I think that I have become more settled and...nah, I still love to ride the roller coasters, road them with a couple of my students last year when our school went to Dolly Wood...I guess that's the kid inside of me still thriving. Who knows maybe that helps keep us young! Great write!
