Dear Journal~
This is Jenna. Jenna Aurora.
I am sorry if I haven't been writing in here, but trying to keep tabs on an extremely active toddler, keep the house in order, and trying to live life with one good working hand is not easy. Writing is a chore; that's why I don't write as much as I should.
I am sure Louisiana Sandusky and my other Internet friends may think I am mad at them, but I am not, no, not really. It's just that writing with just one good working hand is hard, and I don't want to keep putting msyelf through all that trouble.
I am starting sto show: four months pregnant as of this writing; I now have a poochy little belly. The morning sickness has all but disappeared, thank goodness; I'll be glad when it is gone for good! I had such a hard time with it!
Speaking of pregnancy, Louisiana Sandusky is pregnant, just a little over two months now. It was a total shock to her and her family. The baby will be due somewhere around Christmas. That means the family will soon have sixty ONE kids! Godamighty!!
If I were in Louisiana's shoes, I'd probably give the baby up; I don't know how she can take care of so many kids without going crazy! Mattaq is enough to do me in at times; and now I am expecting another little one in November, around Thanksgiving time. I should be finding out sometime next month if it is a boy or a girl. Another boy would be nice, but I would rather have a little girl, that way Mattaq can have a little sister.
The weather has warmed up here; and last week, we had thunderstorms, which are a rare occurance here in Alaska. Very scary to see the lightning. I don't hear the thunder, but the flashes from the lightning woke me up in the middle of the night. Now it is in the sixties to seventy degree range, and brighte blue sky with puffy clouds, and stiff breezes from the north. Very pleasant.
The flowers are coming to life, everything is greening up; this is the prettiest time of year here. It won't be long before the plants start dying and the temps start dropping as another Arctic fall approaches.
The sun is out nearly continously out now; soon it will be out for all but a few hours; it is coming to be our longest time of daylight of the year. We can have as many as fifteen to twenty hours of sunlight here in the summertime, and at midnight we can have baseball games going on, which is something that doesn't really occur in most parts of the world.
The auroras are still going strong, but soon the season will end until September. I am always sad to see the auroras go because it's like Mother or Father are still with me, and also my ancestors, and when the auroras are around, it's like they are close by. Then they leave, leaving me in a state of perpetual sadness.
Jerrica is doing well: still checks on me from time to time, which I appreciate. She brings her kids over, and the boys always have a good time playing with their little cousin. They love him so much; they spoil him rotten, then when they leave, I'm the one left to try to calm him down becasue they have him so wound up! LOL
Michael is still working at the factory; he loves it. He is off most weekends, and it is good to have him around the house. He is such a blessing in my life, and I am so fortunate that he married me! Yes, indeed, I am a lucky woman!
Well, I have to go now. Light is flashing; have to see who is at the door. Hopefully it isn't another Fuller brush salesman; I HATE those annoying sales calls! All they do is sell useless junk that costs a fortune, and I don't have any use for that stuff! GRR! Take care, and God bless! Will write in here again~
I've been so busy with work - thanks so asking - I went solo late last year - I must I'm enjoying it. It's a lot of headaches and screams, but worth it. Lol.
Excellent write my friend...you have a unique way of making your characters come to life in a way that the reader can relate. Sales calls, we all hate those, and the unusual weather we are all experiencing it this year. A great and informative write and a glimpse into the life of yet another fine character.
Blessings,
Joyce B.
