Dear Journal~
Wayne here. I finally have some free time to myself, to where I can unwind, also write in my journal.
Between working at the hospital and taking care of my family (plus dealing with my sister and oldest niece's current health issues), my free time is seriously curtailed.
My own health has been holding its own, but due to the stress that's affecting my immediate family, I've been experiencing excruciating migraine headaches. If the migraines don't ease up soon, I'll have to schedule an appointment with my key neurologist, Dr. Stryker, to make sure it isn't anything more serious. Of course, the headaches have me most concerned. I haven't had headaches like this in a very long time. They're debilitating!
I will have to have Christ Community Assembly of God (my church) lift me up in prayer; I can use all the prayers I can get!!
I am most happy to say that Sarah, Reese, Mwugu, Emma, and Brooklyn are very healthy; none have been too terribly sick (Brookie does have allergies, but not to where they threaten her life; they just make her miserable!). I'm the one who has been suffering the worst health problems; with my spina bifida, I'm prone to all sorts of illnesses: kidney/bladder infections (or blockages), shunt malfunctionings, migraines, susceptibility to meningitis or encephalitis, diabetes, and other equally serious medical conditions.
Other than Audrey recovering from her heart attack and surgery (she suffered complications; she is now in a rehabilitation facility, undergoing extensive PT and OT, speech therapy, and ongoing mental health counseling) and Susie's worsening mental health status, life for me has been rather interesting, to say the least. Or should I say uninteresting, boring, to the point of being mundane!
Maybe once I see the neurologist about my migraines, I'll have something more to write about then.
