Ronee' is happy becuase she made it to the second round of "America's Got Talent", and she is happy because her friend Rebekkah has been moved out of the ICU; she is doing better. She does have some sad news to report as well, which she will share with us here in her journal.

Dear Journal~
I'm sorry if I haven't written in here in a while; things have been happening at breakneck speed, and I haven't had the chance to write in my jouranl until now. I hope you understand.
It's your (Cajun) friend, Ronee' Le-Anne. I'm excited beyond belief: on Thursday (the 7th of June), I had my audition for "America's Got Talent" and (drum roll, please)...I MADE IT!!! I'm going to be in Las Vegas, Nevada, in August for the semi-finals, which will be too cool! :) I have a chance to make it to the finals--and vie for a shot at winning one MILLION dollars!!
I am trying my darndest not to get the "big head", but Lord, it's so hard!! This may be the shot in the arm for my country music career! This may be the break I needed!
While there I got to meet the host of the show, Jerry Springer (actually, he was quite nice!), and I got to meet the three judges Sharon Osborne (plus her furry little friend; she has a Pomeranian, too, just like mama!; ohhh, she was sooo cute!!), David Hasselhoff (he's even cuter in real life; he has the sexiest blue eyes!), and Piers Morgan, who, despite his brutal honesty that's reduced past contestants to tears, was actually quite charming. Oh, Piers did say I needed a little work on my "pitchiness", but he thought I had potential; that really made me feel good! :) He did, however, say I was a very good musician; he liked my accordion playing! :)
On the show, I played my Cajun accordion and sang the Cajun music classic, "Jambalaya (On The Bayou)". I was very nervous (hence, the pitchiness; that hapepns a lot!); I guess I pulled it off at the last minute. Did okay; no, did better than okay!! I'm sooo glad that's all behind me; I was a nervous wreck!
I now have the semis to look forward to; there go the nerves again! LOL
My brother, Johnny, was due to have an MRI scan this past Tuesday (the 11th), but the machine broke down for one reason or another; therefore, the appointment was cancelled. Johnny was very happy about that, too: he is severely claustrophobic. Whenever he has to have an MRI done, the doctors have to knock him out; otherwise, he'd be trying to rip the machine apart! LOL
(Me, having MRI's don't bother me at all. I go to sleep whenever I have to have an MRI done. :) )
Well, I have some disturbing news to report: no, not about me (or Johnny), but about Audrey and Susie Callaway (also Rebekkah Cohen). Audrey's in the hospital (she had post-surgical complications that left her brain-damaged; she's now undergong therapy at the rehab center), and Susie tried to injure herself again. She keps having flashbacks; her emotions are very messed up right now. I am concerned for the both of them; I have been praying my heart out to God for them, yet it looks like Satan (the worm!) keeps attacking them without any letup. Looks like I'm gonna' have to prod God a little harder about this, ask Him to cut them a break; Lord knows, they need it!!
As for Rebekkah, she's developed another danged infection. This time it's in her bloodstream. It's really serious. I don't know how long she's going to be in the hospital; when I heard the news, I cried. It looks like Father God is going to have His Hands full with all these sudden prayer requests!
(In case you haven't heard, Rebekkah is out of her coma; she is doing better, thank you, God!! :) She's also out of the Intensive Care Unit; she's doing GREAT!! :D)
We had a great time at Fan Fair when we went a few weeks back. I met Carrie Underwood and "Big & Rich"; they were really sweet. I also met Bucky Covington, Josh Gracin, Kellie Pickler (all past "American Idol" contestants), Miranda Lambert, and Cole Jacks (this little six-year-old singer from Ohio; he was adorable!), and saw my friends Loretta Lynn, Hunter Hayes, Jimmy C. Newman, Joe Diffie, Collin Raye, Martina McBride, Reba McEntire, and Dolly Parton. All were very glad to see me; they all gave me big hugs and gave me their newest CD's (autographed!). I had my picture made with 'em, too. All were very sweet (natch!),; they always are! :) They asked me how I was doing; when I told them about my audition, they all wished me the best of luck! Now, is that cool, or what?? :)
Guess who was also there? Kelly Clarkson, the first "American Idol"! I met her too, and she's as sweet as they come! :)
Well, I'm beginning to like my new little brother, Bjorn. He's three, but I feel sorry for him. HE was born blind and unable to hear. When he sigsns, he has to do it in someone's hand, so he can make his needs/wants known, like Helen Keller did when she was alive. It's kind of sad, really.
Bjorn is cute: he looks a lot like Johnny did when he was little. He was adopted from Finland.
I have some housework to finish before I hit the pool. I am then going to go to my friend Africa's house; they invited me for a barbeque. They're having pork loins with BBQ sauce. YUMMERS! I loooooooooove barbeque!! *licking chops hungrily at thought* LOL
I wish I could have been in Fort Worth, Texas two days ago: Loretta Lynn was at Billy Bob's, one of my favorite places to visit. Maybe next time she's here in Nashville we'll get to see her. Hope so!

What an exciting write...enjoyed this much...I really enjoy Loretta Lynns music and her down home Kentucky country ways...she's not changed much at all, still same country girl! Great write my friend!
