Unbeknownst to Johnny, Susie is out of her coma; but Johnny writes to her anyway, telling her how sorry he is for the state she is in and for feeling that he was the cause of her latest medical crisis. (This is the letter he would have written if Susie were still in her coma.)

Dear Susie~

This is Johnny Sandusky writing. I understand you and Rebekkah "had words" concerning me, and what has happened has me feeling bad.

Susie, I didn't mean to make you mad at Rebekkah. She didn't do anything wrong to deserve all of this, and you certainly didn't do anything wrong either. She only wanted to be with me because you see, I am very sick too, and time for me is growing short. There are no guarantees I'll continue to do as well as I've been doing lately: my disease is very unpredictable, and next week, in a few days, even tomorrow I could end up in the hospital again. It's that serious. I could be dead in a few weeks or a month. That's why life is so precious to me; this is why I live for the moment and try not to worry about what tomorrow may bring.

Susie, I realize now you aren't able to read this because you, yourself, are very sick; I hope you will get better soon. If there is anything I could do to trade places with you, believe me, I would. I'd rather it be me in your place; you have certainly had more than your share of heartbreak in your life; you don't need any more drama!

I wish I could do something to help you through this, but I'm not Jesus. I'm just a kid who happens to be hurting very much right now, and Rebekkah is devastated over what has happened to you. One minute y'all were getting ready to come to Centennial Park for the festival (and the fireworks); the next, you started having awful seizures, and an ambulance was called to your place.

From what I have heard, the news so far isn't good, but Susie, you are a fighter. You CAN get through this. You've been through much bigger things; you can come through this! Please don't give up; we love you too much, Susie, and you may not realize this now, but many people are pulling for you, praying for you. You're on our prayer chain at our church, Christ Community Assembly of God, and other churches have been alerted about your situation. You have a bunch of people lifting you up in prayer; Jesus is watching out over you, and He will never, ever leave you!

All we can do is pray for a Miracle for you; after all, God is still in the Miracle-Making Business! He is threre right with you! Please, for my sake, don't give up the fight!!

Well, I'm crying again. I can't see all that well to begin with; the tears are only making it worse. Know you're in my thoughts, and know you are loved and are in my prayers. Please accept my apologies; I didn't mean to drive Rebekkah away, but she is my friend as much as yours. I hope  you understand that. I love you, Susie; please get better soon!

~As always, your friend, Johnny Sandusky. :( >tears!<

A very sad piece, but Johnny is one hell of a good guy!

Karen,

This is sad, sad, sad. I don't think Johnny is at fault; there is a jealousy between Susie and Rebekkah, and they are the ones who have to work it out. An excellent, emotional write, very well done.

(((HUGS))) and love, karla.
