Bed & Breakfast. Always full of surprises

           Bed & Breakfast

"Thank you. I’d like this room for a night. I’ll be off by 9.30 tomorrow."

"Breakfast is from 7.30 to 10am."

"That’s fine. I may be slow to come down. I’ve got some lumbago."

"You’ll just have porridge like everyone else", she replied.

"Your room is first on the left upstairs. But I must warn you to shut the door at night."

"Why"?

"Well it’s our girl. She tends to walk around the house in the middle of the night."

"Oh , what age is she"?

"Our Sally is 17. She’s  really sweet, but she does have this problem. So please lock your door"

The lodger retired to his room wondering just what Sally might look like and why she wandered round the house at night. He imagined her as a buxom teenager flirting with her mother’s clientele. "Ah," he thought, " I’m going to leave the door ajar".

Around three o’clock in the morning when he was deep in sleep, Sally quietly entered the bedroom. She saw the lodger sleeping soundly. It was time to surprise him.

With one almighty leap, she jumped onto the bed and curled her golden paws under her chin and sighed. – Just as the landlady predicted!
