Ronee' didn't make it to the top-20 finalists after auditioning for "America's Got Talent". She is disappointed, of course, but she is glad she got as far as she did.

Dear Journal~
It's over. For me, at least, it's over. I didn't make it to the top twenty acts out of the 35 left in the competition. Out of the acts, fifteen got eliminated--and I happened to be one of those who were.
Am I disappointed? A little. It would be stupid for me to say that I wasn't. Yet I did the best I could, and that's all that matters.
At the last minute, I decided to sing a Kelly Clarkson song, "A Moment Like This"; was going to do a Cajun number like I did last time, to show my versatility in different musical stylings; the judges liked what I did (particularly David Hasselhoff). Piers (Morgan) and Sharon (Osborne) both said that I was "a bit pitchy". I was; I knew I was. Nerves. LOL Oh, well. They told me to come back next year; I think I will. (I'll probably stick to my Cajun music; that's my comfort zone.)
Had a great time; met "Crazylegs" (this group of guys who break dance; the one dances on Lofstrand crutches; you gotta' see him to believe it; he's amazing!!), "The Glamazons" (a quartet of plus-size women with killer pipes), the Duttons (this family of fiddlers), many more, even met Jerry Springer (the host), who gave me a huge hug after my performance. He loved me. He tried to console me; he saw the tears in my eyes, said I was gonna' be a big star. That made me feel really good! :)
Just not my time this go-around.
After we got back from my audition, maman and I went swimming at the pool, also blew bubbles once we got back to our hotel room; got sticky after a while, had to take a bath! LOL It ended up being a bubble bath. LOL It was messy; bubbles, bubbles, bubbles everywhere!! LOL Whatta' mess! LOL
The weather is hot, hot here--not used to the dry heat. Gimme' some moisture!! LOL Over 110 degrees last night after ten p.m. (at least it felt that way!). Not good! (Easier on the joints, though!)
Called daddy; he was sad to hear that I didn't make it, but he said that "America's got talent in his baby girl" (his words, not mine). That made me cry. Johnny was mad I didn't make it, in his words, "Are they NUTZ??" LOL He said he was going to write a letter of protest, demanding a recount. LL He said, "How could Kashif make it through the next round with his stupid dance 'talent'--he has none!-- when you didn't??" He was fit to be tied!
Well, I am going to get some more shut eye before we leave for the airport; take an hour nap. We're ready to go; all we have to do is kill some time for an hour; gonna' spend it sleeping! LOL Take care, and God bless!

Guess I'll have to try out again next year; the money does sound nice, but not this year....
One never knows unles they try, I would rather know that I tried and didn't win, than never try and not know! A great write my friend! Enjoyed!

America's Got Talent missed out on a great young singer; yet, the writer of Ronee's story goes on to win the whole competition! Is "Ronee's Files: I Didn't Make It. :(" worth a million dollars? YOU BET IT IS!
