Dear Susie~
Please don't be mad at Johnny: he didn't do anything wrong. Also, don't be mad at Rebekkah. She's hurting almost as much as you are, if not, even more so.
Susie, I realize that you have been through so much, more than a kid has a right to go through, in your life, but you aren't the only one. Everyone goes through things. It's part of human nature. Sure, it doesn't seem right (or fair) when problems keep piling on top of another, especially when it keeps happening to one person.
The thing to remember is this: it's only temporary; besides, now that you have Jesus in your life, maybe you can work through all this inner anger or ask Jesus to help you if you feel you can't handle it alone. That's what He's there for. He'll take all of your hurts/pain away. Just trust in Him and believe.
Susie, I have been through things that would curl your hair if I told you. Yes, my health is a big issue in my life; at times it's all I think about (particularly if I'm sick); yet the worst of it (the frequency of the asthma attacks, the severity of the attacks, the allergies to milk, shellfish, dust, etc., having to rely on forearm crutches in order to walk) is behind me.
My asthma/breathing is under control (if I stay away from the allergens that give me the most trouble--and I DO!-), I had the joints in my hips/knees replaced; I no longer use the crutches to walk. I use two canes instead, and I get around much easier.
In addition, I no longer have to take supplimental oxygen at night for my breathing; I came off the oxygen a year ago, and my lungs feel great 99.9% of the time! :) I am indeed doing much better in regards to my health; I am a totally new person! If I can do better, so can you! Just trust in Jesus, pray to Him, even when you are having a bad day--He'll get you through even the worst days! He'll never abandon you; just cry out, and He's right there! He's never too busy! :)
Susie, when you are angry like this or try to injure yourself, it really bothers me because it's like you want to purposely hurt yourself in order to feel happy or be unhappy a lot of the time. Do you enjoy wallowing in self pity like this? Do you want your friends to be miserable along with you? Well, I have enough *stuff* in my own life to be sad about, but I hate being unhappy. I certainly don't want to bring other people down; it does them no good; it certainly doesn't do me any good! It's just gong to make things worse for everyone involved! I'm not an unhappy person. I am a happy, giving person by nature; when I am feeling bad or am having a "poor, poor pitiful me day", it goes against everthing I know. I know something's wrong when I am unhappy or sad!
I do wish you would talk to someone about your problems. You can't let 'em fester inside of you: it's only going to aggravate your existing health problems. I know; I've been there. I've noticed that when I'm stressed, my JRA acts up more so than usual, and that's when I usually have my flares. It never fails!
Well, Susie, I will go now; have to call Nicole, see if she has anything planned. Take care, God bless, and know if you need to talk or need a friend, I'm your gal! I'll be there for you in a nanosecond! In the meantime, I'll continue to keep you lifted up in prayer!
~Love, your friend, Ronee' Le-Anne Reaux. :(
P.S.: I didn't make it to the next round on "America's Got Talent". I was upset, but I can try again next year; maybe next year will be my year! That'd be too cool! :)
~Ronee'. :)
P.S.S: The guy in the pic? He was on "America's Got Talent"; his name is "Lazy Legz"; he's a break dancer who break dances on crutches!! He's awesome; I hope he makes it through to the finals! He deserves to win; he's GREAT!! (He was born with little muscle in his legs; gets around on crutches like I did. Yet that's never stopped him from achieving his dream to be a dancer! More power to him! :) )
Interesting story that is exemplary of frequent occurences among friends. Some good advice given, also. You really have short-story telling down to an art.
Great write my friend, you've given the reader much to think about! Ronee gives some great advice about not allowing things to build within, or to fester that it will aggravate health issues or even create them. Not only do you entertain with your journal entries..but also allow inspiration and wisdom to spill over and enrich the readers lives! Bravo my friend!
Blessings,
Joyce B.
As Victor says, you have the knack for writing journals: the reader is absorbed into their world. An excellent trait for a writer to have. Well done. :)
