A STORY OF A WIDOW AND HER SON WHO LOVED THEMSELVES HAS BEEN NARRATED

WHY SHE HAS CHANGED ?

Ammavasai is an thirteeen years boyfrom a hut of a widow whose husband was died in

consumption of spurious liquer.He was an addict of arrack for the intoxication.he never

cared about his familywhile he was alive.Now his wife Kolamma works to breed her son

Ammavasai. She is thiry of age and worked hard in several houses and earned her bread.

A tailor Mani wanted to help her but she doesnot like to have his help.Mani freqeuntly

called her and expossed his helping tendencey This tendency become nuisence to her

but Mani is strong in his will.

On the day she was not good and felt feverish so she was unable to go work.Mani

heard this and bring doctor to her house.treatments given and long prescription have been

given.

Both kolamma and Mani did not have sufficient money to get the drugs prescribed for her

fever.Ammavasai felt this and he denied to go to school and asked Mohan to takehim as a

worker in his workshop

Seconds have rolled as minutes and hours that day slowly went towards the night.Mohan

prepared to close his workshop and called Ammavasai for settling his wages.Ammavasai

came and recieved his wages in his left hand

Mohan asked to show his right hand Ammavasai showed his right hand with a lot of blisters

and Mohan felt wept

Ammavasai rushed to medical stores to get the drugs and reched his hut.Kolamma

asked why he have not go to school and why he was late.

With few drops of tears Ammavasai gave the medicines to his mother.Kolamma cried to

see his blisters in his right hand and kissed in his right hand.

She changed her mindset and agreed to marry Mani for her son.
