Lousiana, still upset over what's happened the past few days, writes a letter of apology to her friend, Kendra Williams-Kent, who is contemplating on moving back to California.

Saturday, August 11, 2007, Lafayette, Louisiana~

Dear Kendra, Michael, and Family~

Just when I thought my world can't get any more stranger--first, I get a blistering phone call/e-mail from Audrey Jackson-Callaway, then Naomi Cohen wrote me a letter that, basically, accused me of being "too forthright, too strong in my opinions". Maybe so, but it seems that my friends are disappearing far too quickly.

Am I that bad of a person? What is this I hear about  you moving back to California? Is it because of something I did or said? If so, I am deeply sorry; please accept my humblest apologies. I wish you would reconsider, but if you want to move back, I won't stop you, especially when it comes to better health care for your children. I hear California has a much better health care system regarding medical issues, but Tennessee isn't halfway bad either. We have several fine hospitals here in Tennessee (Nashville Children's, Baptist Hospital, St. Judes, etc.) that specialize in caring for children, and I've really never had a problem with any of them. Oh, I've faced the usual beaurocratic bullpoopoo from administrators or unfeeling, uncaring doctors, but I'm good at negotiating (very good, mind you!), and I'm especially good at getting what I want for my children.

My children's health needs come first, especially during times of medical emergency, when their lives are threatened. That's when I really get involved.

As a mother and nurse, you learn to protect your kids. However, you can't stop any emergency (or illness) from happening; I know kids can--and do--get sick or injured when one least expects it. It's part of their curious, inquisitive nature. Children are naturally adventerous as it is; they are apt to run into problems if we (or they) aren't vigilent. It's only common sense.

I have had a very rough few weeks. Between Johnny's latest round of medical tests, Ronee' breaking her foot in a fall (she's now on her crutches for the next two months), getting ready for our new foster child (a six-year-old boy with cerebral palsy), the pregnancy (I'm carrying twin boys!), the adoptions of Emma-Ruth, Opal, Emir, Vijay, and recently litle Bjorn (he came to us from Finland), and now this mess involving Naomi, Susie, and Audrey, and yourself, as well as workign gazillions of hours at the hospital, I'm so tired I don't know whether I'm coming or going half of the time! I don't know if I can handle any more drama in my life!

I don't know what I've done to cause so much anger in people. I don't know when I've done so much crying and/or praying! I'm afraid I'm heading towards a total emotional collapse! Please keep us all in your prayers; we have really been through the mill lately! We could really use a miracle--no, make that miracles!!

Susie Callaway wrote to me a very nice letter, but she is understandably upset with me. I don't blame her. I said some things I shouldn't have said, and I ended up hurting her mother and Susie with my insensitive comments. Now I really feel horrible. She did send my daughter Ronee' a threatening e-mail last week that has Ronee' scared out of her wits. She made Johnny cry, and then Audrey chewed me out (basically, she told me to stay out of her life; that was putting it nicely), and now Rebekkah Rachel is mad at me, for "trying to break up the friendship between her and Susie Callaway". I am sure Naomi (Rebekkah's mom) isn't happy with me either.

All I did was try to be a friend. That's it. Nothing more. Now I have sevreal people angry at me, and I am flummoxed. I don't know what I've done except try to be helpful to friends who were hurting.

I guess God is punishing me for caring too damn much. I guess He thinks I don't deserve friends because I haven't been the Christian woman He wants me to be. I wouldn't be surprised if He somehow ends up taking my children back because lately I've been a terrible mother. I don't deserve the children, I don't deserve my husband, I don't deserve the blessings He's bestowed upon me, my family--I don't deserve anything.

Well, shit--I've gone and make myself cry once again--and just before leaving for the Cajun festival, too. I am going to go before I do anything else stupid. I guess that's what I get for caring so goddamn much!

~Louie. :( >tears!<

A great write that we can all relate too...sometimes when we care so deeply we open ourselves up for pain..but that is all a part of life, I would rather love and care and endure the pain than never to love at all...enjoyed this my friend!
Blessings,

Heartfelt, awww I feel bad for her~I think this character is very loving, caring, and sensitive. Futhermore, she would have to have all these needed characteristics to be able to do all the wonderful and nurturing things she does!

A great sharing...pen up!

I hope Louie can step back and evaluate her whole situation...afterall she needn't be all upset while carrying twins. This is definitely a sit back, let things simmer down situation.....ummm......I hope!! Another good write!
