Ronee' was having problems with a friend, but all seems to be resolved now. She meant to post this earlier, but she got busy, and she forgot; so she is posting this now in her online journal.

Dear Journal~
When it rains, it pours!
I have had a horrid past few weeks, the worst I've had in a very long time. First I broke my foot on August 1 (3 weeks ago Weds.) and have to be on crutches for at least another month or so. Then last week, before we left for Louisiana, I got an awful e-mail from Susie Callaway. Basically she told me to "watch my back" because she was going to do everything she could to "bring me down". I don't know exactly what she meant, but as I thought more about this, I realized that she was threatening me.
All I did was try to be a good friend to Susie. I didn't mean to make her mad, but ever since I tried to be there for her, it's like she's turned on me, and now I think she hates my guts. I don't know what I've done; I feel so helpless!
Maman is suffering right along with me. Audrey (Susie's mom) and Naomi Cohen (Rebekkah's mom) have been "having words" with my mom, and poor mom is an emotional basketcase. I don't think I've seen her cry as much as I have this past week. It's like the devil is attacking our family; I wish he'd quit it and leave us all alone!!
Johnny has been worried too because of this. He didn't get to go to his MDA camp because of "prior commitments" (last weekend our sister Dwerlina got married--it was a lovely wedding; I was one of the bridesmaids--, and this coming weekend is LeCajun), and that bummed him out big time. He was really looking forward to it, camp, that is. He finally had his MRI and EMG; both turned out okay, but his muscualar dystrophy is getting worse, and natch, this has him (and us) most concerned. So he has this on his mind, too. I hate seeing Johnny being so worried or sad!
Maybe LeCajun will give us a break, take our minds off all this mess. At least the wedding got off without a hitch; that's one less big worry out of our hair!
We're in Louisiana as I write this. It's hot here--but then it's hot mostly everywhere. Our nation is in the grips of a big heat wave, and it's hot just about everywhere you go. Louisiana is typically hot; that's no surprise there. The heat doesn't bother me, but poor Johnny is covered with a nasty case of heat rash and mosquito bites, and he is miserable. I feel sorry for him! (The only thing that is bothering me at the moment is this stupid cast on my foot. My foot or leg itches, and I can't reach it coz the cast is in the way. It's about to drive me insane!! Plus the cuffs on my crutches stick to my sweaty arms, and my hands slip off the handles; and I have nearly fallen several times because of this. Very annoying! Grrr, I am beginning to hate my crutches!! Give me my canes back!!!!)
I find it hard to sleep (like this morning; I woke up bright and bushytailed at 2 AM!!) because I kept thinking about Susie and what she might do, and it's like I am scared to close my eyes for fear she may show up (or have someone kidnap me). I've been having some awful nightmares, and I'm shaking so hard I don't know what to do! I've tried praying about this to God, but it's like He's got me on hold because there's no answer from Him!! I am so stressed out now I am about to go mad!! It's nutz! Had another nightmare this morning at 3, then again at six, couldn't sleep between this time, so now I'm dragging--and it's not even 11 in the morning!! My heart is still pounding, and I am still short of breath! (Time to hit the inhaler again, folks!)
Hope my breathing or heart slow down soon; I HATE it when they act up!!
Well, I'm going to go. Am going to try to get some shut eye to try to get back the sleep I lost when I had those stupid nightmares! GAD, how I HATE them!! I will write again soon! Bye for now!
~Ronee'. :(
P.S.: Will tell y'all about LeCajun next time; stay tuned~ C ya!
P.S.: It appears that Susie is trying to make amends with all those who she's tried to hurt (including me). Late last week I got a nice e-mail from her, but I don't trust her. I think back to those awful e-mails I got, and I am still bothered by the fact that she even thought of doing something so mean to me or to others. What could have possibly driven her to act so irrationally? I am glad she is trying to fix things; that at least is a step in the right direction.
I do think I know one reason why she is so eomtional lately: there's a hurricane in the Gulf heading towards Mexcio (Dean), and she's scared that Hurricane Dean will somehow swing up north and hit the Gulf Coast like Hurricane Katrina did almost two years ago. She's worried about friends back in Mississippi. That's one thing the Gulf Coast region does not need: another major hurricane! They are still traumatized over Katrina two years later; once was more'n enough!
I will have to pray extra hard for the residents of the Gulf Coast states; God help them as they cope with renewed hurricane fears!
More that one parent had live that kind of intern hell, of walking at the edge of the abyss hoping not to fall.
Like waiting an hurricane, people seems to nail shut all the windows of themselves so the storms can't enter.
But, the storm is already inside.
Georg
Ronees fears are evident here, but Susie has been through hell and back and I am sure she is just as confused as Ronee. Ronee has to remember it takes two to have an argument~
God Bless
Michelle~
A touching write that most parents can relate to, as well as teens. Life is an emotional roller coaster for teens, a realistic and moving write my friend!

This is so real, Karen. Blimey, makes me remember just what a hard time kids give each other sometimes... but, just like us adults, it is usually pain-driven...And if we as grown-ups can't see this, then how do we expect kids to understand that? So much on Ronee's plate right now. I'm glad she's able to get it off her chest. That's good and healing. Yet her fears and concerns are for the "adult" world of hurricane's and mother's woes, too. Bless you Karen... as you are aware, children do NOT miss a trick and their worlds are often even more complex than those of the grown-ups around them. I have been hanging on every word of this. May a good solid sleep go some way to allay her fears... And a few solid prayers, too! :)) TY Kate xx
