Hey! Remember me? If not, my name's Antoine. It was Richard, but now it's Coleman! I'm now fifteen, and I'm loving my new life!

I was living in New Orleans, Louisiana--lived there all my life until two years ago, when Hurricane Katrina unleashed her deadly fury, killing most of my family and destroyed all that I cherished. She did not take away my younger brother, Ray-Ray (Reynaldo), or my younger sister, Peaches. Through a miracle, we remained together, and we tight, we tight!

We did stay for a brief time with a very large family in Nashville, Tennessee, the Sanduskys, whom we still keep in contact with, but we got adopted by Philip and Andrexia (Xia) Coleman, and we now live in Aurora, Colorado. It happened last year, and it is so pretty here. The streets are safer at night, the air is pure and clean; we no longer have to fear for our lives.

Best part? We don't have to put up with no dangfool hurricanes! 

We were adopted last spring (of 2006), and saw snow for the first time in our lives. To experience it live was a thrill. It was wet, it was white, and it was cooooooooooold! Thought I was gonna' turn into a Popsicle! LOL

Besides Peaches and Ray-Ray (and myself), there are four other sisters: Aurora (24), Zinnia (22), Portia (17), and Wynette (12), and three small brothers: Icarus (6), Itzhak (4), and Kirby-Michael, who is one. All but the two oldest girls are adopted.

Seems funny having sisters who are Chinese (Wynette and Portia), ,or three brothers who are from Africa; but Mom and Pop Coleman wanted a bigger family, so they took in eight more kids to the two they already had. We have pets: a Chihuahua/Pomeranian mix named "Buddy", and three Ragdoll cats named "Boomer", "Bubbles", and "Tashie".

Mom and Pop Coleman homeschool us kids, and we love it. We're always learning or doing new and exciting things; we go to church (Aurora Christian Fellowship), where we kids sing in the choir every Sunday. Pop Coleman is the preacher, and Mom Coleman is the church's secretary.

In addition, we kids are into sports: b-ball, basketball, tennis, football, volleyball, swimming--anything to keep our bodies fit and active. We don't sit still for very long, or else we get bored, especially the little ones.

Well, I'll write in here again; just wanted to let y'all know what's been goin' down in our lives. Now that you know, I can go. LOL
