     BOOO Books?

GHOST STORY Have you ever seen a ghost? Or if not the ghost itself, it's presence? A few nights ago, I spent the night at a friend's house. A one hundred and sixty year old Victorian beauty, filled to the max with three floors of antiques. I spent the night there because my friend was deeply troubled, and I did not want her to be alone. At one point during the night amid all the turmoil as we were speaking, as I was facing a huge built in bookshelf, I saw five books come forward of their own accord. And then slide back into place. They did not tip forward, they slid. My first assumption was that there was a mouse behind the books which were obviously loosely packed, causing the movement. I told my friend whose back was turned from the shelves, that she had a mouse. Which any neat freak would dismiss at the get go, and she told me I was seeing things. It was late, and we were both stressed and tired over her situation that initially prompted my visit. Yet,I was not convinced..... I went up to the very books that moved, concerned, because she had just put her house on the market, and I figured, a mouse on the loose would not be a good selling feature! So I went to move the books, which I assumed must be loose enough for the mouse to move forward, and looked for mouse droppings to prove my point to my friend. But to my surprise, the books were packed so tightly, I had to use both hands and all my strength to move them! So it was no literary mouse browsing the selections! A half hour later, while she was still talking, I looked away from her, at a blank wall above her TV and suddenly saw what resembled the effect of heat waves you see on a highway on a hot day. That mirage effect the road at times will show. It was in a square shape, and made the wall look like wavy cellophane, then suddenly vanished. I thought.......oh....I am definitely over tired! I then convinced my friend that we both needed sleep. She showed me to a bedroom with a single bed, loaded with furniture, almost like a bedroom turned storage area, but it was clean as a whistle. I laid down, with a light on, and began prayers. Almost like on automatic, sort of like praying on a rosary. This is not my mode of prayer normally. I sort of give God my grocery list of selfish desires and, get around to thanking the big guy for the good stuff at the end. But this was like prayer on auto pilot, all for my friend's benefit. Eventually I fell into a very restful sleep and woke up feeling.........actually.......VERY GOOD.....despit all the discord going on.AhhhI went home..... The next day when I spoke to my friend on the phone, I brought up the subject of the books, and she said there WAS something in that house. That it was a Victorian woman, who had been seen in several houses in the neighborhood. An unfriendly spirit, who had attitude. Several guests in her home had seen it, or felt it before (ice cold air, and anger) and one workman refused to continue working in her home, he had been so badly shaken up!!!! Things would vanish in her home, blame would be thrown around, all swearing innocense, then suddenly the items would reappear. It seemed in that Victorian neighborhood, all the houses had something! Some folks were delighted with it, some were spooked. And it was pointed out to me, that in the old days, people did not go to hospitals to die. They died at home. A bit of backtracking now........... Last week, my friend was over my house and was looking at my bookshelf and inquired as to what I was reading........I told her a few books, but was very distracted by my own affairs, and that all were left unfinished at this time to my embarrassment........She told me she had some great books she wanted me to read and next time I come over to take them home. Never told me the author or the subject. Just said I would enjoy them. Since her house is on the market, and she had fifteen rooms of furniture, the majority of them antiques she also told me to take whatever I wanted. She needed to downsize. My taste does not run to antiques, with the exception of a piece here and there as hers does, but I said I would go through the house and take a look....maybe something useful. A desk, a chair, book selves lol.....cabinet maybe??? I came across a few things, but felt hesitant because I figured the items would be better served as product on an estate sale....but she assured me she had plenty to sell. Anyway, my family had such a strong reaction upon entering her home the next day, without my mentioning the book movement, saying that there was SOMETHING, in that house, and wanted no part of it!!!!! That it was filled with bad vibes, and the house needed prayer!!!!! I was shocked!!!! Apparently the vibes were felt............ So now to backtrack again I started thinking........... Whatever was in that house, did NOT dislike me. I took the book movement, as an offering.....it was trying to offer me the books! lol Maybe they were better then the series my friend was recommending to me lol And maybe that Victorian spirit, felt MY spirit was OK, because I was there trying to comfort my friend through her rough times.......because it always manifested itself to people who had negative aspects in their personalities.........in a hostile manner. Troubled people with troubled situations.... But you know what? I did take home that series of books my friend wanted me to read. They are sitting in a big box in my living room, untouched and behaving themselves impeccably... They have not levitated once!!! muuhaahaaaa True Story! Pax A
