Dear Journal~

Aurora here, as in Aurora Skydancer.

Sorry for not writing, but I have been busy trying to get my affairs in order; am getting OUT of the nursing home tomorrow! That day of going home is finally coming to pass! That means that in two days I will be on a plane, headin' back to my home in Alamogordo, New Mexico! I can't wait!!

I am more than ready to leave Tennessee behind. Tennessee was nice, but I just don't like all the congestion of traffic on the Nashville streets (they drive like crazy here! You run a risk of putting your own life in the hands of those nuts!!) I also don't like the way people talk here; they talk too fast, and half the time I can't understand them; they sound worse than steel guitars when they talk! LOL Toooo twangy! LOL

I am doing good on my therapy; will continue it for a few more weeks upon my return home; my doctor back home will want to look at me see how I'm doing. I bet he won't recognize me when he sees me; I've lost over 200 pounds; I'm half the size I was, and I feel great! (Well, not great, but you know...*giggle*) My lungs/breathing are improving, but still have to use the oxygen at night when I retire to bed. Have to have breathing treatments, too.

Not using the crutches so much anymore; am trying to use just a cane. It's scary; I'm scared I'm going to fall down, break something, but it's better than those stupid crutches; all they did was bite me! I have the mrks on my arms to back that claim!

So far I've been lucky; I haven't fallen--yet. Hope I don't!

I have been calling my family, my friends back home; they can't wait to see me. Well, the feeling's mutual: I can't wait to see THEM!

After I get done with my therapy, I'm going to try to go back to the store. Maybe they'll hire me back; Lord, I hope so!  That'd be awful if they didn't hire me back just because I'm now physically disabled!

Well, I am going to shut this down; someone pounding on my door. I will go for now; will write again after I'm settled back home, probably in a few days to a week. Take care, and may the Great Spirit bless you!
