The final member of the Maine Coon family consisting of six Furry Brothers and Sisters shares her story. "Cajun", "Stripes", "Furball", "Meowser", and "Tisket" had their turn; now it is pretty "Genevieve's" time to "talk".
My name is Genevieve. Genevieve Marie. I am six years old, which may seem young, but in Human Years that would make me an almost-Senior Citizen. I still have a lot of Kitten in me, so don't worry; I'm not about to sit in my rockin' chair just yet.
I am a Cat. A furry, loveable (and if I must say so), adorable Cat. I am a Maine Coon. I am descended from one of America's oldest Cat Breeds. My Kitty Ancestors came from Maine, but now you'll find Maine Coon Kitties all over the World.
Like all Maines, I have long, silky-soft fur, a very long, bushy tail, huge paws, a strong chest and well-muscled build, a soft, high-pitched, squeaky voice, huge green eyes, and a doglike personality that a lot of Humans find charming. I am very pretty if I must say so myself.
I have five brothers and sisters: "Stripes", "Furball" (the Boys), "Meowser", "Tisket", and "Cajun" (the Girls). All have shared their story; now it's MY turn. I hope you don't mind.
As I said in the beginning of this story, my name is "Genevieve". I live with the Duggins Family (there's Mom and Pop Duggins and the Smaller Humans Douglas--16, Hanna--13, and the twin Human Boys, Garrett and Garvick, who are nine years old). In my Family, there are only Humans. No Animals--which is the way I prefer it. I don't like Dogs, and Other Cats I Don't Know give me the Heebie-Jeebies.
Like all cats, I spend my days asleep most of the time. (Hey, we're Cats; we're the Ones who INVENTED the Cat Nap; it's what we do best!) I also play, purr, meow, go to the LitterBox to go (ahem...yeah, you know where--and it ain't out to Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaaaaat...LOL), pester or annoy the Humans when we feel like it, and just act all purry-iffic! Maine Coons, big they may be, are especially good at being Hams or being Adorable.
It's our Lot in Life. God put us here on this Green Earth so they can worship the ground we Cats walk on. :)

I loved it...I agree with Chris a Purrrrrfect write. I love cats, always have probably always will. I think we have about fifteen roaming the farm, one or two who stick close to the house, the others are more barn cats...they are lovable, keep the mice down, and are fun to watch them play in the afternoons...enjoyed!

I used to Raaaaoooow around the neighbourhood all night, U know, but I went to this funny place, it was all a yuk smell, and cold tables and things poking at me, and well, now I dont want to go outside and chase all the other cats anymore, and I'm positive there is something missing off my back end!!
Anyhow, the cat I havet to share the house with Cheetah, she is really old, and hisses all the time, but I think its fun to pounce on her and make her go into a hissy fit LOL, arent I a meanie.
