Arf! Arf! Arf! (Translated, that means, "Hello! How are you? I'm Cajun Gold!" in Pomeranian.)
Yes, that's me. Just a little bitty thing, but I have a Giant Personality that more than makes up for my lack of size or weight. My name is "Cajun Gold", and I am a Pomeranian, which is descended from the Spitz Family of Canines. We are known for our thick, furry coats, upturned tails, foxy looking faces, and our perky, inquisitive nature.
The Pomeranian is the smallest of the Spitz Family, weighing no more than three to seven pounds on average. We have a tail that we carry high and proud upon our little backs, and we have tiny, short legs that give us a saucy gait when we walk. With our adorable faces and our intelligence, we make excellent dogs for Humans who are older, lonely, or Humans with a Family. We're ideal for Apartment Living, and we aren't afraid to stand our ground whenever we are given the opportunity.
I live in Tennessee, in Nashville, with my Humans, the Sanduskys. I belong to a Lady Human named Louisiana; she's the one who takes care of me, makes sure I'm fed, brushed, bathed, treated if sick or injured (then I go to the Vet's, which I do NOT enjoy!!), and makes sure I get plenty of time for exercise or play. She treats me really good, and sometimes when she goes somewhere, she'll take me with her, lets me ride in her Vehicle.
Such interestin' things to see, so many interestin' places to visit; see if there's any Dog who left me a Message on my Pee-Mail. (That's how we Dogs communicate, and that's how we know who's already been there. It's disgusting, but hey, we're only Canines; that's how we do it!)
Or we go one step further: we sniff each other's butts. That's another way we communicate, how we greet each other. I don't mind it, but I have gotten smacked around by Cajun, MyMommy's stupid Maine Coon Cat.
I'm scared of her; she may only be a Cat, but she outweighs me by 10 pounds, and she's BIG for a Cat. You DON'T want to get her pissed off; she WILL strike back. I guarantee it; I even have the marks on my nose to prove it!
Methinks Cajun-the-Cat has a temper.....
Like most Dogs, I like to sleep, play fetch or run around the Yard with my Humans, annoy the Cats, go for rides, check on my pee-mail, visit the other Neighborhood Dogs, and Eat. Kibbles and Bits are my favorite; I also love it when my Humans go out to eat and they bring me Treats from where they went; there's nothing finer than grilled steak right off the Grill! YUMMO!
Well, I am going to go now; have been running around all morning; am getting tired all of a sudden. Take care and toodles for now! Arf!!

Writing the thoughts of a puppy from a first person perspective is not something that everyone can do. You have got some exceptional qualities Karen. Thank you for sharing. Abdullahi
"Pee Mail" That's funny! Pomeranians are awesome dogs...I watch the Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show and see these breeds. They really fix up pretty...Louisiana has good taste in dogs and cats. The Sandusky pedigree includes many human and animal. Cajun Gold is cool. You marked your territory well with this one, Karen Lynn...thanks for the story today...be well, you and Karla...
