Johnny is doing so well, he is being released from the hospital by Friday, and Ronee' is responding to her pain medication; her JRA flare is easing, much to their father's delight.
Bill here. I am home this morning instead of camping out at the hospital. I needed to get some rest, so I went home, caught up on lost sleep. I feel much better now...
I have some wonderful news to report regarding our two sick children who are currently in the hospital: Johnny is doing so well he is expected to be released from the hospital by Friday, and Ronee' is finally responding to the pain medications as she recovers from a flare up of her JRA.
Her chest is no longer bothering her: she doesn't have the pain, and the doctors have discontinued the heart monitor and oxygen. Wonderful news! :)
She may be out by Saturday, the doctors are saying now.

I am estatic at the news; after a week of worry and uncertainty, I can use some positive words from doctors.
I am doing okay; back feeling much better. Now if something could be done about my wrecked-up knees...ow! Uncle Arthur and his wife, Aunt Itis, have both taken up permanent residence of my knee joints, and they are really botherin' them; where's the landlord when you need him, so those pests can be evicted??
Going to have to crutch it today (then I usually do; it's easier! LOL)...
Wife is being a model patient: getting her needed rest, listening to the doctor's orders by staying put in her wheelchair when up, not walking at all until she needs to use the porta-potty (then I help her), doing all she has to do to ensure a safe delivery of our twin boys.
I am very proud of her, but I know it's hard for her; she hates being cooped up, hates having to stay put in one place. She is usually on the go, always has places to visit, people to see, hurting hearts to comfort/encourage.
I swear my wife thinks she's a pastor's wife because she certainly has the love of Jesus in her actions!
Emir is going to have to get a serious talking-to from me. Still bopping people over the head with his artificial arms when angry or upset. I don't know about that boy; typical toddler behavior, perhaps, but surely annoying for the kids--and us!
Barbara is getting geared up for her next game on Friday; tonight is her scrimmage run at the high school. The Donelson team is facing a formidable foe in Jackson's team, and so our guys are going to have to get all the practice time they can get in if they are to have any chance of defeating Jackson High.
I know she will do well; she always does. She takes her role as quarterback very seriously.
Heard from Dwerlina and Andre'; they are both still working hard at Mulate's, and college life keeps them both well grounded. Dwerlina thinks she might be pregnant; not sure yet, but she will see her doctor on Monday; should find out more about that then. I hope so, it would be nice to have another grandchild!
Our grandchildren are all getting big: Jamee is now eight, and the youngest two (Tyrone and Tyrell) are now walking/talking up a storm. Seems like only yesterday when they were just born; time sure does fly by fast!
Too bad we only see them at Christmas!
Lightning, their mama, fell the other day; wasn't hurt, but the strap on her wheelchair broke. She ended up on the floor. It gave Darnell, her husband, a scare; now he has been hovering over her like a mother hen. (Lightning has cerebral palsy.)
Steffi, Dianna, and Tanya are still doing well in their college careers; sailing through their classes like the troupers they are. Anh is donig well in his studies, too. I am very proud of all my "college kids"; seems like only yesterday when they were just entering high school!
Next week the local news is coming over to our house to film our family; they want to do a piece on how large families make it through a typical day. No doubt cameras will be everywhere; it's always nerve wracking when the news people come callin'! (Have to look, sound our best.....)
Hopefully the kids won't embarrass us by making faces, saying goofy things while on air; they see a camera, and they ham it up for all its worth; kids and tv cameras seem to go so well together...it's going to be interesting, is all I can say!
Well, the weather is still sunny, still dry: getting more parched by the day. We are in desperate need of some moisture. The other day we could see smoke in the distance, smell it; fires burning, fire truck sirens or seeing fire trucks speeding to the next fire becoming a common sight here.
Very nervewracking; hope one of those fires don't end up in our backyard!! That'd be too terrible for words!
I am going to go now; going to go back to sleep while I still can. Take care and God bless; will write in here another day. Hopefully the news will continue to be good!
