A dog "writes" her feelings down.

Saturday, Oct. 27, 2007~

Arf! Arf! Raowrf!

Dang! I wish I'd quit doing that: I have to keep remembering you aren't Canine; you don't speak Dog!!

Translated, that means: "Hello! How are you? I'm fine!"

My name's "Cajun Gold"--"C.G." for short. (I often tell other Dogs my name's bigger than I am! It's true ! I only weigh three pounds; I'm a little squirt!) I'm a Pomeranian; Poms are known for their small, compact size, yet what we lack in size, we more than make up for it in intelligence and personality!

Poms can come in all colors. Some are solid colors (like me), others are "parti", or multi-colored (more than one color). We are known for our long, thick fur, tails that curve gracefully over our little backs, big, bright eyes, small, compact ears that are mostly hidden by all that fur, small, adorable, foxish-looking faces, and saucy walk. We may be small, but we don't miss a trick.

Poms are very smart; just ask the Human Owner who has one. MyHuman is a lady named Louisiana Sandusky; she takes really good care of me. She makes sure I have all I need, makes sure I am taken care of if sick or hurt, and spoils me rotten. (I LOVE that!) I would do anything for MyLouisiana; she's Top Dawg in my book!

Lately, however, MyLouisiana hasn't really been able to do much: she's in bed. No, she's not sick; she's fixin' to have Puppies. Two of them, both Males. They're due in December, around Christmas time, so it's coming up pretty quick. She is so big she can't get around as well as she did; this is why she has to stay in bed (her Vet's orders). It's frustrating for her, and it's frustrating for me too because I don't get the attention from her like I usually do.

MyLouisiana has other Humans in her House besides herself: she has a ManHusband named Bill, and she and ManHusband Bill have scads of Puppies, both Big and Small, all colors of the rainbow. It's a very noisy place here at the House of Sandusky!

Besides the other Humans, there's also other Animals (Pets): Dogs of all sizes and colors, Cats, Birds, Hamsters, Gerbils, Fish: you name it--they're all here.

I get along with most of them, but I am starting to get mad at a certain Cat named "Cajun". All I want to do is smell her--she smells so good--; yet she thinks she's God's gift to Catdom, and she acts like she's royalty. She has a queen-sized chip on her Feline self, and everytime I try to smell her butt, she gives me a good one with her paw.

My nose is turning into a mass of scar tissues from all the times I've gotten smacked by her! I can't STAND it when "Cajun" does that! Who does she think she is? The Cat on the "Fancy Feast" tv commercials????

Or perhaps, "Garfield" of the funny papers??

Well, I am going to Arf on out of here. Time for me to go back to sleep; still waaaaaaaaaaaaay too early for Canines (anyone, really!) to be up and about! So on that note, goodnight~

~"Cajun Gold" (the World's Cutest Pomeranian!). :)
