Dear Journal~

Johnny here. Hope all is well with you; it is with me (for once...LOL)!

I am excited: tomorrow is our church's second annual Harvest Festival; they are expecting a huge crowd to come and partake in the festivities. There'll be music (gospel, of course! DUH! LOL), food, games/contests, hayrides, a junk car "smash", where people get to hammer a beat up car, make it look even more destroyed (this one is popular with the teen guys), face painting, arts and crafts, and much more.

Tomorrow if I am having a good day I plan on going. I am not dressing up per se, but the littler kids (and Ronee') are. They love dressing up for Hallowe'en. I did too, but I am nearly fifteen years old now; I'm way past that childish stuff!

I don't understand something: Ronee' really doesn't celebrate Hallowe'en, yet she enjoys dressing up. Maybe it's for the candy; I don't know, but she's funny that way. *grins*

Tonight is the city's annual Hallowe'en parade. We are going to go to that; the next few nights (tonight and tomorrow) will be very busy for us.

Even mama is going to the parade and to the Festival; I just hope (and pray) she doesn't go into premature labor! That would NOT be good AT all! She isn't due until Christmas, and so far her pregnancy has been progressing extremely well, without any problems. She's just bedridden until the babies are born; if she IS up, she has to sit in a wheelchair: the doctor doesn't want her walking at all.

Daddy is doing well: just darned tired! Well? Can you blame him? He's doing the lion's share of the work (of course we kids try to help, but still--he has so much to do!), and he hardly gets a moment's rest. I feel sorry for him!

Heard from my brother in New York: he may be coming for Thanksgiving! That would be cool; I haven't seen him in over a year!

Kendra, Sasha, Naomi, Missy, Louisa, and Kate are all on a cruise; I don't know exactly where they went, but I hope they are having the time of their lives! I have been on two cruises in my life (both to Alaska), and I had a great time! I hope to go on another cruise soon; this time I wouldn't mind going to Mexico, where it's warm; when I went to Alaska, I about froze my ninnies off! Clunk! Clunk! Clunk! (Oops! LOL)

School is going well for me: homework out the old wazoo, but am getting it done on time. It's still hard, though, I still struggle with my reading/writing, but at least I'm making passing grades; am no longer the failure I once was before Sylvan intervened. Oh, yeah. I am still going to my Sylvan classes after school several times a week; they have really helped me.

Well, this isn't much, but I just wanted to wish y'all a very happy Boo Day (as I like to call Hallowe'en). Stay safe, keep your nose to the grindstone, and have lots of fun! BOOOO!!!!
