Louisiana is feeling better after her health scare yesterday; she had severe stomach pains; thought she was going into labor. It turned out to be severe gas pains, much to her relief.

Monday, Nov. 5, 2007, 5:36 p.m., C.S.T., Nashville, TN~

Dear Journal~

Louie here. I am lying here in my usual spot as of late: the confines of my bed. Still on bed rest, still have to take it easy.

Yesterday I had a terrifying scare: during the middle of the 11:00 service at Christ Community Assembly of God, my church, I suddenly developed severe stabbing pains in my belly area. It was enough to take my breath away; I was soon doubled over in severe pain.

The worship team members closest to me could easily see that I was in distress; they alerted the musical pastor about my dilemma, and they helped me off the stage and to the lobby, where they summoned for my family.

They thought I was going into labor.

I thought I was going into labor too: the pains felt exactly like the kind I experienced when I was pregnant; there is no pain like it in the world.

Needless to say, I was whisked to the hospital, where I was checked into the maternity ward; it was serious business.

It turned out for the better, though: it was not labor pains. All it was was gas. Severe gas. LOL I don't know what it was I ate that got my belly in an uproar, yet it was enough to scare the living doo-doo out of me.

We didn't get out of the emergency room until after one. We immediately went home, where I returned to my bed and Bill took charge of the kids, who were, by now, ravenously hungry.

Bill then turned on the television to watch the big race from Fort Worth, Texas' Texas Motor Speedway--and root for Jimmie Johnson, his favorite driver. (Mine's Matt Kenseth. Turns out Kenseth came in second; it was a fairly close race; lots of thrills to be had!)

Bill was happy; Jimmie won (again!!); Matt was eliminated from the Cup Race; he didn't have enough points to qualify him for the chase. Very disappointing news, maybe next year Matt will move up in the standings. One can only hope so!

We then watched the Philadelphia Eagles play against the Dallas Cowboys: turns out the "Boys" got it all together, managed to win quite easily over the Eagles. The score was 38-17 in that contest. Now Dallas is 7-1 for the season; they are doing very well as of now.

So are the New Orleans Saints, another hot team now. (Geaux, Saints!! Whoo-whooooooo!!!!)

Well, because of my health scare yesterday I have been banished from doing anything; Bill and the kids won't even let me lift one finger. They are hovering over me like worried hens; it's annoying; yet I have no choice; I'm grounded until the babies arrive next month.

I just hope little Ian and Isaiah don't pull any more surprises; after yesterday I don't think I can take any more "surprises"!

Take care and God bless; going to sign off now; getting sleepy. Will write in here again soon; so long for now!

~Love, your friend, Louie May. :)

Great Write, Karen. I can totally relate to Louie's problems. I had the oddest Braxton Hicks the maternity ward nurse had ever seen a week into forced bed rest.

Wow! What a great write, I can relate to this one...when I was expecting my daughter, we had just moved into our home, our telephone hadn't been connected, my son was only four, my husband gone to work, keep in mind that we live in very remote area with no neighbors in sight! I was still two months from my due date and severe pain struck suddenly...I suffered through and must admit, I prayed much...finally the pains eased, my husband returned home from work, I went to the doctor....it wasn't labor...it was FOOD POISONING! Oooh, I still have problems eating hot dogs! Enjoyed the write my friend as always!
Blessings,
Joyce B.

Sorry about Matt don't making to the top, well Jeff didn't either, and a consolation was that Montoya wasn't let to play his dirty tricks. All is well...until next time!!!

Karen,

An excellent journalling; twins usually come early, and then there's Braxton-Hicks, the "false" labor that prepares one for THE REAL THING. And then, gas...gotta love it. :) (Can FEEL like labor pains, trust me.) Well done.

(((HUGS))) and love, Karla.
