Dear Journal~
Johnny here. Sorry for not writing; just haven't felt like it lately.
I'm afraid I'm not doing very well: my darned MD is getting worse. It's getting harder to breathe, for one thing; am on oxygen all the time. It helps, but not enough...I'm facing the tracheostomy surgery, where they'll insert a breathing tube in my neck to aid in respiration. Worse, I broke up with Rebekkah.
It's true : Rebekkah Cohen and I are no longer together. It was decided (by her) that she wanted to spend more time being a teenage girl, no longer wanted to see me. Of course, it hurts. I think of her, how she dumped me, can't help but cry.
I did have a good Christmas, other than Rebekkah's "gift" to me. Received the iPOD I wanted, my big gift.
Also received money, gift cards to stores (Barnes and Noble, Half Price Books), restaurants (Olive Garden, Golden Corral, Razoo's Cajun Cafe' and Red Lobster), clothes, undies, socks...you know. LOL
I am dealing with people staring at me. I know I look bad. I've lost a lot of weight; my clothes hang on me. I look like I have AIDS or something; people think I have it. I hear them talking; it hurts. It really hurts. Well, I don't have AIDS. I have muscular dystrophy. That's all. Nothing more, yet just as deadly.
I get cold so easily; it seems that I'll never get warm again. It's getting to the point to where I keep wishing I had an electric blanket with me all the time!
I am dealing with new baby brothers. Oh, they're okay; yet they cry all night long, and I'm not used to it. Guess where they sleep. Yeah, just across the hall from me, so it's no wonder I get little sleep. I'm so tired from their crying it's not funny!!
Ian and Isaiah were born Thanksgiving Day. They were due around Christmas; however, maman went into labor a month early, so they arrived earlier than planned. They are cute, though; they look just like maman (with a little bit of daddy)!
It has been nice having the family home. I got to see my Colorado cousins; they didn't make any mention about my (worsening) health; they acted normal around me, which I appreciated! (They're also little, so it doesn't really matter.)
Well, I am going to lie down; rest up for the big football game later. Ohio State verses Louisiana State. I am rooting for Louisiana State, but I do like Ohio State. Porter is originally from Ohio, so he's rootin' for the Buckeyes. Just for kicks, I ought to root for LSU just to annoy him. LOL
