Dear Journal~
G'day, mates! Tottie Ruth here, havin' a spot of tea on me break from work, decided to write in me journal, to let y'all know what has been going on with me.
Since I last wrote (20 November, 2007), a lot has happened. I have a boyfriend now; met him the evening on the day I wrote me journal entry; met him at the barbie. It was a fluke of nature, really: was body surfing in the ocean, a rogue wave nearly did me in; he rescued me, choking and sputtering, from the waters. It was mortifying, that!
Turns out he was a lifeguard. Well, fancy that!!
He's a ripper: that is, suffice to say, he makes me laugh. Name is Bob Brighton (I call him "Bobbo", we Aussies are very big on nicknames); he's about the same age as me, and he is really handsome! He and I have since clicked; it's like we were meant to be together; we can't stand to be apart!!
Bobbo calls me his "hot Tottie" LOL; says I'm the best thing to come to him since the Summer Olympics came to Sydney! Bobbo is a lifeguard during the summer; however, during the rest of the year he works with disabled children at a school here in Sydney. He lives about ten minutes away from me, he's already been to me house several times, where we talk, look stupidly at one another, and--well, you know---*blushing* LOL
Let's just say we have a fine time together! LOL
He is sorry I lost me leg, but he says I'm a woman of courage. Says I don't let things get to me. (Yeah, RIGHT! He doesn't know me very well now, does he??) Says I could teach his kid brother a thing or two about overcoming life's hurdles; his brother has autism, and he is incredibly, painfully shy; he doesn't relate to people very well.
His brother has a very bad self esteem problem.
Bobbo's brother is named Teague, and he's 20.
Bobbo has two brothers (Teague and Gaelan) and three sisters (Torrie, Haven, and Iona); he's the oldest. All live close by; I've had the pleasure of meeting them; they are all as nice as Bobbo.
I wrote to Louie Sandusky in America; she sent me a Christmas card, which I just got this past Friday. Sent me a picture of the kids; they are all growing up so fast!! Her new baby boys are adorable; they look a lot like their mummy (but they have a hint of their daddy in them, too!). They were born Thanksgiving Day; they were due around Christmas; however, they came a month early, and are doing very well.
I hope to hear from Louie soon; she will be glad to hear I have Bobbo in me life! She will no doubt be thrilled; I sure am!! :)
For New Year's Eve, Bobbo and I went to downtown Sydney; they had music, drinking, and fireworks; there were lots of drunken people afoot. I got plastered; so did Bobbo; when I woke up this morning...headache city! When I sat up, I fell back over. Dizzy as hell, threw up all over Bobbo! YUCK! He LOVED that!! LOL He reciprocated; did the same to me. Paybacks are a bitch! LOL
It was nasty!! Yet once we got that out of our systems, we felt much better! LOL We then slept until about an hour ago; just woke up! Wasted the whole day practically! LOL
Well, gonna' head; some fool idiot bangin', yellin' at our door; wonder who it can be! Hope it ain't no burgler; I'll hit 'em with me crutch!!!!
