Just when things are looking up for Louisiana and her family, she has tragedy to deal with concerning a friend.

I don't understand things sometimes.

Why do bad things happen to certain people time and time again? Why does a loving God allow such things to happen??

Just got an e-mail from Audrey and Louisa; both said that Naomi, Rebekkah's mother, is in the hospital, in Critical Care. Something is attacking her body; they don't know what is going on at this time; however, Naomi is very, very sick. She's in a coma. It doesn't look good.

I am numb with shock. I don't know what to say, do, except to pray. I will have to let CCA of G know, tell them of the situation.

However, on OUR end of the street, things are looking very good.

I am pleased to say that Johnny and Ronee' are both home, recovering. Poor Ronee' looks like she went through several rounds with Muhammed Ali. She's grousing because she can't do anything with her hands bandaged up. I tell her, "Enjoy it now, while you can, kid; it's not every day people get to wait on you hand and foot."

Johnny is getting used to his trache tube; however, he hates getting suctioned (whenever I suction  him, Bill or whoever's close by) has to hold his arms and legs down to avoid a painful kick or slap. He also hates not being able to talk; his signs are still angry. Johnny stares angrily at us with his cobalt-blue laser eyes; he wants to say something, but the tube in his throat prevents it. It's very frustrating for him--and for us.

Yet Johnny IS breathing much easier, and his color is much better, so we know he's getting the needed oxygen.

The kids are glad that their brother and sister are home from the hospital; they hang around them constantly, which bugs both Johnny and Ronee', who'd both rather be left alone, so they can rest, continue to recuperate from their surgeries.

Kendra has applied to adopt two more children; they now have something like thirty-six children. A boy from Ireland and a girl (I don't know where she's from). Both are disabled, though; I think both have spina bifida; I'm not sure on this.

With everything that's happened to me, my family, my friends, my mind's gotten a little cloudy. Or maybe it's lack of sleep or age--or a combination of all three. LOL

The babies are growing, eating like little pigs--meanwhile my breasts feel like they've had all the milk sucked out of them; they're so painful, so tender. OW! I just hope my husband doesn't decide to get amorous, get all grabby-grabby, because I'll knock the fire outta' him if he grabs me there!! LOL

The weather here is chilly. They're calling for snow here. SNOW. Of course, the kids want to get out in it, make snowmen, snow angels, pelt each other with snowballs--and guess who gets to clean up the mess afterwards. Yeah, me! I love winter, don't get me wrong, but I HATE it at times; wintertime can be so, so---MESSY!!

I'm already looking forward to seeing the first sign of spring--our red-breasted friend, Mr. Robin. Then it won't be long before the temps start nosing upward and I can get busy on the yard once the snow/ice melts.

I love puttering around the flowerbeds in the springtime; there's nothing more relaxing to me!

Well, I am going to go now. Miss Ronee' wants to turn over on her side; also wants something to eat; she's hungry as a bear this morning. Take care and God bless!

I'll write in here again soon; hopefully things will improve with Naomi Cohen! Lord, I hope so; she's seen more than enough tragedy!!

(((HUGS))) and much love, your friend in Tennessee, Louisiana May. :(

I hear once a country song saying that "a bad turn deserves another" then again, as johnny and Ronee started to see the light, we can't beclouded it by Noami's troubles. Cruel, but that's life.

You are amazing my friend...I agree with Walt, your stories would make an outstanding continuing saga, much like that of a soap opera. What is even more fascinating is that the pain and sufferings, joy and laughter are very realistic so many can relate to the lives of your characters. Great write!

Are these real or are you writing a soap opera? These stories would easily make one.
