Dear Journal~

Johnny here. Hope all is well with you.

I just woke up not even twenty minutes ago (had to cough); figured now that I'm awake, I might as well stay up, since I the alarm is set for six o'clock anyway. So there you go.

Have school today, unlike last Monday, where we were off because of it being President's Day. That day I didn't get out of bed until two in the afternoon. I was a lazy slug! LOL

I am doing good; no new complaints. For that I can be truly thankful!

Yesterday at church it was our pastor's birthday. We sang "Happy Birthday" to him, and we all had some cake after the services. It was a nice service, as most of them usually are. Pastor Bilkey usually hits home with his messages. Yesterday he talked about how God is with us in times of trouble, often referring to one of my favorites verses in the Bible (Isaiah 40:31).

I got myself two new books at the mall on Saturday: "Diary of a Wimpy Kid" and "Diary of a Wimpy Kid II: Rodrick Rules" by Jeff Kinney. The first one is hilarious; the second one promises to be the same. (I read the first one at our local school library. It's good!)

I have quite a good book collection going: got lots of teen Christian fiction, lots of humorous books (like the "Diary of a Wimpy Kid" series; there's two now, one due to come out later this year or the start of next year, and of course lots of classic books, like "Swiss Family Robinson", "Tom Sawyer", "Huckleberry Finn", and  the Henry Huggins books). I could start my own library, what with all the books I have! LOL

I love to read, especially now that I got the help I needed back when I was having so much trouble with my schoolwork!

Now I have a book out, and it's gonna look so cool seeing a book with my name on it! :) I will be having some in-upcoming store appearances, promoting my book, and I will be signing it, noooo problem! :)That's going to be fun!

I still have to write to Rebekkah--I have been so busy, I haven't had time! I will have to make some time to buckle down and do this; I know she'll be wondering why I haven't written to her.

In only a few weeks, we'll be having our Easter Cantata, so practice starts this week, following the Wednesday night service. I will be in the Cantata, playing one of the disciples of Jesus. It's a minor part, but a very important one, as I'll be on stage a good part of the time. Hopefully I'll do okay without flubbing up; that'd be my luck! LOL

At least I didn't do anything silly or embarrassing, like the guy who played Jesus a few years back: as he was "ascending" into "Heaven", audience members got a good view of more than what he intended to show. (Yep. His robe was tucked inside his underwear. He had red underwear on.) It was hilarious; I still laugh when I think about it!

If I were Mack, I'd be too embarrassed to show my face at church; yet he he's there, faithfully, every week! LOL

Well, I am going to eat breakfast, then get ready for school. I will write in here again another day. Take care and God bless! (I'll probably write in here prior to Easter. Then I'll have plenty of time because we'll be off for two weeks, as it will be Easter Break, plus we'll have Good Friday off. Lots of ops to get some serious writing in!)
