People oftentimes ask me what I like or what hobbies I engage in, stuff like that. Well, I'll be more than happy to answer that, so here goes~
As for favorite things, I like the colors pink, teal, turquoise, or purple (you'll notice I'm doing this in pink writing!), and I love warm, furry kittens (I have a warm, furry cat* myself; she's the cutest kitty in the whole universe!), playing out in the snow in the winter or enjoying the heat of the sun in summer, swimming, going to the mall with my friends, talking on the phone, going to (country music) concerts, or my very favorite thing of all, singing!!
I'm a performer; I live for singing! As long as I can make the people smile with what I do, then it's all worth it in the end! :)
In addition, I love to read: anything by Lurlene McDaniel, Cherie Bennett, Joni Earickson-Tada, Marlee Matlin, Beverly Cleary, Phyllis Reynolds Naylor (she's the one who wrote the "Alice" series of books), Ann M. Martin, Ann Mead, Lois Lenski, or Gary Soto is tops on my list. I always have my nose in a book, it seems: I'm a regular bookworm! :)
Hobbies/interests of mine include singing (all music, but country and Cajun's tops with me, particularly the classic country--aka Loretta Lynn, Patsy Cline, Dottie West, Dolly Parton, Tammy Wynette, etc.), reading (see above), drawing, writing books/stories/poetry/songs, playing my musical instruments, collecting souvenirs from when we travel, doing research on the Internet, either for school or for my own personal curiosity/satisfaction, participating in church-related activities, or bringing joy/hope to those who need it the most.
Once you get to know me, you'll see that church is very important to me. As a Christian, I feel it is my duty to bring the Message of hope and salvation to those who need it most (in particular, to kids my age or younger), and I feel it is my duty to share my testimony with others, to show just what Jesus Christ has done in my life.
I am rather moody in temperament (as any teenager usually is), but I am an all-around nice girl with a wicked sense of humor (I love to laugh!), and I always enjoy a good joke (as long as it's not dirty or lame). My moods are like the ocean: calm, peaceful, tranquil one minute, thrashing, angry, wild the next.
Maman tells me I'm like a Louisiana crawfish: I'm okay most of the time, but back me in the corner (or cross me the wrong way), and my claws will come up, guaranteed! LOL I will fight back. That's a given. I may be small, but I am tough. Very much so!
Just because I'm disabled doesn't mean I can't defend myself because I can--very well, thankyouverymuch! :)
If I can make anyone smile with my actions, words, or my music, then that's all that's important in life. I live for Jesus, and I hope to be a good witness of my Christian faith. I am a very compassionate, giving person, and nothing makes me happier than to bring a little joy to others who are sick, hurting, or suffering.
Well, now you know a little more about me, what makes me tick. I hope you enjoyed reading this because as for me, I enjoyed writing it!
