Sorry for not writing in a while; have been busy--buried with tons of homework, church business, family doings, et. al. Now I think my busy schedule's caught up with me: woke up this morning sick. Have a cold to end all colds!
You know the typical symptoms: sneezing, runny (or stopped up) nose, endless coughing, wheezing in the chest, blocked head/sinuses, low-grade fever, some shivering. Just feel like ca-ca, if you know what I mean.
I know I am not going to go to school tomorrow. Can't risk giving it to the other kids (in particular my friend, Johnny Sandusky; a cold could kill him), so I'm going to stay home. Gonna have mom call the school to report my absence, then she'll probably do what she usually does when I'm sick: bundle me up to take me to the doctor's, to see if she can give me something to alleviate the worst of my symptoms.
Oh, gosh, do I feel horrible! If I could find a bomb somewhere and put it in my nose, and then detonate it, maybe it will clear up my snotty head. Well, maybe not. That doesn't sound like a good idea. I think I'll pass on that one.
See, even my thoughts are disjointed, just like my head. This always happens when I get sick with a cold. I don't get colds that often (maybe two a year), but when I do--ohhh, boy! It's a cold from heck!!
Well, I am going to drink some more O.J., then take my children's Tylenol, my cough drops, and then rub Vicks on my congested chest; maybe that'll knock some of the stuff from my lungs, so I can breathe easier!! This breathing through my mouth bites!! I'm then going to sleep; probably will sleep a good part of the day until mom takes me to see the doc tomorrow.
