Louisiana writes in her journal prior to making supper for the family before they go to church.

Sunday, March 2, 2008, 3:28 p.m., C.S.T., Nashville, Tennessee~

Dear Journal~

Louisiana here.  Sorry for not writing; have been busy with work, the family, my writing, the adoption community--you know, the usual.

I do have some good news: remember a while back when my husband mentioned that we were on trial because a neighbor suspected that we were abusing/neglecting the children?  Well, a miracle has occurred: the charges have been dropped; we are allowed to keep the children currently under our care!!  It's been a huge answer to prayer--and a huge relief off our minds!

God is so good!  Just when it looked like our family would be split apart, God intervened in a big way, and now we can sit back, praise His most holy name and thank Him for His goodness to us, thank Him for all the blessings!

I will have to pray for our neighbor who reported us to CPS, pray that she sees that we are being good parents, that we are not abusing/neglecting our kids in any fashion!

Our church is getting ready to present its annual Easter Cantata.  Of course, I'll be in it; I'm in the choir; the choir is a huge part of the production.  Some of the kids are in the drama, and Johnny will be providing the sign language interpretation so the deaf members of our church can know what's going on.

Johnny always does a fantastic job with this, and he enjoys it as much as the deaf members of the church!

The Easter flowers and garlands are going up; the church is starting to look rather festive.  Before the Cantata will be communion (on Good Friday) and special Good Friday services before the communion.  It is a time of renewal and celebration; it's an exciting (if happy) time for everybody.

Ronee' passed out at school on Friday during English class: she didn't eat enough; blood sugar got low, and she fainted.  She was taken to the ER, but was released after being treated.  We made her stay in bed a good part of the day after she came home.  She's now fine, thank goodness.

We'll just make sure she eats enough before she goes to school so this doesn't happen again to her.

Emir's bruises from his fall a few weeks back have healed; you wouldn't even know he'd been injured because he's running around on his "legs", a typical little toddler-aged boy with a zest for life, a little fireball with energy that could reach the moon, he has so much of it! LOL

The weather has been delightful: warmer than normal these past few days, letting those suffering from cabin fever get out and enjoy the sunshine, the warmer temperatures.  I even got some yardwork done, cleaning out the weeds, planting some of the early-growing flowers; they should be up in a month or so if weather conditions are right.

I can't hardly wait: I love the smell of the first spring flowers, the sight of all the colors, everything coming back to life after a long winter's nap!

This is when I'm glad I don't live in a place like Alaska where it's still bitter cold out! (They don't warm up until at least June or July!)

Well, I'm going to get back to cooking our supper (tonight we're having hard-shell tacos, tomato-, lettuce-, and cucumber- salad, baby carrots, and for dessert, fruit cups); we have to be at church tonight by five forty five if we are to make it for the six o'clock Sunday evening service.  I will write in here again another day; take care and God bless you mightily!

~Love, your friend in Tennessee, Louie May. :)
