Hey! How's life treatin' ya? Hope all is well; I'm doing super!! No complaints on this end! :)
Ronee' Le-Anne here. Figured since I don't have any homework tonight (for once!), I'd write in my journal before we have supper.
Tonight it's Cajun food night: ham- , sausage- , and shrimp jambalaya; pommes frites (French fries); lettuce and tomato salad, and for dessert, homemade cherry cobbler made from scratch. Yum!! I am already droolin', just thinkin' 'bout it!!
The weather's warmed up since I wrote last: snow all gone, trees fixin' to bud out at any moment, grass greening up. Yes, spring is definitely knockin' on our door; will be next week when spring officially starts!
Saturday, Sunday, and Monday is our city's annual St. Paddy's Day observance; and Sunday is Palm Sunday. I'll be at church on Sunday, and on the other two days, at the St. Patrick's Day festival/celebration. I'll be singin'/playin' my Cajun accordion at the fest, inject some Cajun excitement to the event. Did that last year; had a ball! :)
"American Idol" is getting interesting: a contestant may be booted off (David Rodriguez, I believe his name is) because he used to work at a gay bar as a stripper, and the "AI" people frown on that kind of thing. Last night he sang, and I guess he did terribly.
Fan favorite, 16-year-old David Archuleta, who has consistently done well to this point, fell apart last night; he kept forgetting the words to his song, and he didn't seem as confident. I am rootin' for him. He's good! :)
He was on "Star Search" five years ago; won the competition; he was just eleven then--and was a talent to be reckoned with.
Still is now; however, last night just wasn't his night. Maybe he'll get his act back together, do well for the rest of the competition. Hope so; I really like him! :)
At church on Sunday, it's Palm Sunday observances; there'll be special music and dramatizations. The Sunday after that is Easter, which is always a huge event, what with the extra guests, the Cantata, and Resurrection Sunday/Easter. The church will no doubt be packed to the brim.
Restaurants that day will be "hopping" too: we will probably go out to the Golden Corral. Yum; I LOVE Golden Corral; they always have such a huge selection!
Well, mama is calling: supper's about ready. I can smell the jambalaya; it's making my water all the more. Guess it won't be long before I get my grub face on, then eat supper.
Will write in here again soon; until then, take care and God bless you mightily! Love ya!
~As always, your friend in Tennessee, Ronee' Le-Anne. :D
P.S.: Heard from Rebekkah Cohen: she's doing great, and so is her mom! God is indeed good!! Glory!!
~Ronee'. :D
