Johnny is happy: he had a good time in church this morning, and now the family is going out to eat at a local buffet-style restaurant, just as they do most Sundays. It's his favorite day of the week.

Sunday, April 6, 2008, 12:17 p.m., D.S.T., Nashville, TN~

Dear Journal~

Hey!  Johnny here!  How are you?  Hope this finds you in a good way!

Sunday again.  I am so happy; Sunday is my very favorite day of the week, mainly because we get to go to church, and we (usually) get to go out to eat at one of Nashville's finest restaurants.

I wish it could be Sunday every day of the week! :)

Me, I'm starvin' to death:  my stomach was really rumbling in church; I know people musta' heard it; they kept looking at me.  Severe thunderstorm warning for Belly County! LOL

We had a good time at church today: it was an anointed service; the presence of the Lord was very prevelent in the building.  Pastor preached a powerful sermon; was talking about being bold in witnessing to others about Christ; how to have a heart for lost people.

After the message, there was the altar call; about ten people went up to give their hearts to the Lord, and a little baby was healed of cancer.  Pastor prayed as he laid hands upon him, and the baby could see; he suddenly started laughing, smiling, something he didn't do since I'd known him.

His mom started crying; there wasn't a dry eye in the sanctuary.

Now we are at Golden Corral; I'm sittin' here in my chair, typing on my laptop as mama and daddy go through the line.  There's a ton of people here; it seems everyone else from church had the same idea: "let's go to Golden Corral for lunch/fellowship!"

I'm still tryin' to decide what I want for lunch: pizza, chicken legs, or turkey breast with gravy.  All of the food looks especially yummy today; it's no wonder my stomach is under a warning! LOL

Ronee' is in a good mood: she's standing behind me, still singin' one of the songs sung at church.  She's singing "I'm Lost Without You", one of the songs we sang during worship.  (Okay, I signed to the song, but I still worshiped, and I did move my lips; so at least it looked like I was singing! LOL)  She's getting a bit loud; her voice carries; she doesn't realize how loud she can get!  Mama's looking at her, with a "will-you-hush-up??" look.

It's pretty funny, especially since Ronee' did her silly grin once she caught mama's gaze upon her.  Now she's hunkered down, embarrassed as all get out! LOL

Guess Golden Corral isn't a show place! LOL  The guests don't need to hear Ronee' Le-Anne Reaux in concert! LOL They came here to eat, not to hear my sister sing! LOL

Healthwise, I'm doing good.  Muscular dystrophy still behaving itself, having no problems with the trache tube (though I still hate the suctioning part! That hurts!!), can talk without sounding like E.T.  Sound like my normal self, thank goodness.  I hope this period of good health lasts; I can handle not having to be in the hospital!

Rebekkah is doing well, speaking of health.  While she may never use her prosthetic legs again, she still can get around by w/c, and she has such a fighting spirit about her.  She is absolutely incredible!  It's no wonder I'm still in love with her (although she doesn't know that yet!).

Susie Callaway is doing well, too, even with all she's had to endure.  Her mood's gotten much better; she isn't the mean-spirited, bitter person she was just a few months back.  It's like her life's had a complete turnaround, and it's great to see her being so happy for once!

Well, we're moving to our tables, so I'll go now; gotta get my grub face on and get me some victuals! (Love that word! An even better word is vittles! LOL)  I'm starving!! My stomach is protesting: "Feed me!! Feed me!!"

I will write in here again soon, when I can.  Until next time, this is Johnny signin' outta here!  God bless and take care!

~Love, your pal, Johnny. :D

What a heart warming story. It made me feel good to read it and happy that Johnny is such a positive, if challenged, young man.
Thanks,
