More musings from facially deformed teenager, Nathan Lake. He is extremely depressed because of how people react to him when they see his deformed face.

I've about had it up to here with people's insensitivities towards me.  If they can't accept me for who I am, not for what I am, then screw 'em!

I don't need any more of this aggravation in my life!!

Happened again yesterday.  Some kids started making comments regarding my looks, or else people kept staring at me.  Made me feel very uncomfortable.  I tried to ignore them, but was forced to take action when one of those thugs pushed me into the locker and threatened to make me look more like a monster.

I tried to beat it on out of there, but there were too many kids for me to try to defend myself.  Now I'm nursing a badly bruised shoulder, and I think they may have cracked a few ribs: my side is absolutely killing me.  I also have a blackened eye and bruises on one side of my face.

I look like a goddamn goon.  I look terrible!!

When my parents saw what had happened, they threatened to call the police on those bad kids.  I told them don't even bother.

I then told them I was quitting school.  I have had it with people's reactions towards me; it's enough to make me want to kill my damn self.  I'm not fit to be seen in public!

Now I'm depressed, and I don't know what to do.  Suicide suddenly seems like the easy way out.  I just can't handle life (people) any more!!

Why can't people just overlook my facial problems and see me for me??  I may be suffering from facial deformities, but it dosen't define who I am! I just happen to be a kid who was handed a raw deal in life!

I've tried to be patient with people whenever they interact with me; however, it's getting more difficult as the years go by.  This is when I wish I didn't have to look like such a freak because it's ruining my life!

I will write more later--if there even is  a next time! Ciao, this is Nathan cuttin' on outta here!

~Nathan Lake ("The Creature"). :( >tears!<

Bullies are bullies it doesn't matter...if they can't pick with Nathan about his face it would be his intelligence. People should learn to accept and respect other people for who they are...

Children learn, many times, what they are taught by parents and society as a whole: anyone not deemed perfect is an object to be ridiculed. Pity. Nathan does not realize that suicide is final for him, but not for those who know him. I pray he doesn't take this step. Powerfully penned emotions in this one.

(((HUGS))) and love, Karla.

My heart goes out to poor Nathan.. His parents should have cosmetic surgery done to help him look normal... Kids and society in general can be cruel sometimes........M
