Dear Journal~

Bill Sandusky here.  Have been busy at work, greeting customers, helping them, making sure there's no shoplifting incidents, etc.  Busy day; that's how it usually is at Wal*Mart.

I'm currently sitting in the store's snack area, where I am eating my lunch.  Today I'm having a chili dog sandwich (with cheese), french fries, and a large Coke.  I'm starving!  (Have about a half hour lunch break, then it's back to work until six,when I get off.  A little less than two hours from now; should go quickly.)

In just a week we'll be heading to Louisiana for the annual Breaux Bridge Crawfish Festival.  The whole gang is going; we already have our rooms reserved at the Red Roof Inn in Lafayette, which is where we stayed last time. 

We go to the Breaux Bridge Crawfish Festival every year.  It's a yearly tradition with our family.

Johnny and Ronee' are scheduled to perform.  Johnny is performing as an opening act for Belton Richard, and Ronee' is performing before Johnny.  They are both looking forward to it.  They have been practicing their new songs every day, and they both sound great!  They should do a wonderful job on stage!!

Louisiana has been working many double shifts lately: seems she's been working both the day and night shifts; it's no wonder she's so tired by the weekend!  She should be getting off by six tonight; she ended up working four extra hours today in the MICU.

Looks like we both may get home at about the same time!  Hopefully the house will still be standing once we arrive! LOL

The weather is beautiful today:  sunny, pleasantly cool, with a stiff northerly breeze, just beautiful early spring weather.

Speaking of weather, Virginia had an EF-4 (or EF-5) tornado; damaged a lot of houses, injured over 200 people, some seriously, killed up to ten.  I will have to say a prayer of healing for that part of the world; tornadoes can happen so quickly in the spring, and they can disrupt homes/lives when it's least expected!

I'm glad we didn't have anything like that here!  We've already had two rounds of severe weather already--and the season's still young!

Still haven't heard anything new about Kendra.  No news is good news, I suppose, but I pray that this investigation rules in her favor, that she gets the kids back.  This makes no sense; she is a great parent, and just because she is disabled doesn't mean she can't be a mother to her children!!  I tell you, some people are downright spiteful!!

I know Rebekkah must be torn up about this.  I haven't heard hide nor hair from her either; I'm getting rather concerned.  Maybe I ought to have Louie call them this evening or sometime later this week, to see what's going on.

I'm about ready to kill a certain little kitten named "Ricochet".  She got into the sheets, tore our brand new satin sheets with her sharp claws.  Just shredded the beyahoo out of them; they had to be thrown out!!  I was so mad!!  Louie wasn't exactly happy either; the kitten is now banished to the guest room until she learns to behave herself. 

Tomorrow I am off work:  have to take some of the kids to their doctor's appointments, plus Emir and Vijay are due to have their latest rounds of vaccinations performed.  They are not going to look forward to that, but they need to get their shots updated!

I'll probably be gone all afternoon tomorrow.

After the doctors' appointments, it's off to the grocery store.  Running low on staples, soda pop, cereal, veggies, crawfish, Cajun seasoning.  Probably won't be home before six, the way things look now. 

Not really looking forward to it, but I have no other choice in the matter.

Sigggh!  A father's work is never done! LOL

Well, it's about time I get back to eating before my food gets cold; then I have to finish working before I clock out at six.  I will write in here again probably before we leave for the Crawfish Festival next week.  Until then, this is Bill signing off.  Take care and may God bless you!
