Louisiana adds some more to her journal entry prior to stormy weather that's migrating their way. Her area is currently under a tornado watch.

Friday, May 2, 2008, 8:15 p.m., D.S.T., Nashville, TN~

Dear Journal~

Louie here again.  Had to write some more in here before the weather turns nasty; there are some storms moving this way, they look like they mean business.  Our area is currently under a tornado watch until 10/11 tonight; it may get interesting later on.

Hope not; we've already had two rounds of this stuff earlier this year; I'm more than ready for it to end!!

Worked the MICU today; got off at four.  Still tired; trying to rest my feet; they are really sore, barking up a storm!  Was supposed to get off at two today, but Emily Tagaq decided to have a cardiac moment; her heart started racing, and we had to shock it back into a normal rhythm.  She gave us a few anxious moments; she's now in the cardiac ICU, where she's being closely monitored.

Annike, meanwhile, is stable considering the shape she's in.  Bumps and bruises, both internally and externally, broken ribs, two broken legs, a broken pelvis that required up to six hours of emergency surgery to put it back together again.  She has enough pain killers to choke a horse; she's out like a light, resting comfortably.

Annike was my easy patient today; it was Emily Tagaq who gave us a run for our money.

I don't know what I am going to do tomorrow.  Am off tomorrow and Sunday; may end up doing laundry.  It got away from me; we must have at least twenty to thirty loads piled up in the utility room.  It looks like a laundromat threw up all over! LOL

I know I will be doing laundry for a good portion of the day; the dryer and washer are both going to get a heavy-duty workout tomorrow!  I am not looking forward to it at all!

"Coal Miner's Daughter" must be on AMC again tonight:  I hear Ronee' wailing along.  She just loves that movie; she must know the entire script (as well as the songs) by heart by now! LOL  She can never get enough of Loretta Lynn!!

Johnathon is mad at her:  I can hear him telling her to put a sock in it.  He likes Loretta Lynn, too, but nowhere near the extent as Ronee' does.  He'd much rather listen to Dolly Parton or Reba McEntire; those are his top favorite female country singers.

Oh, good.  Bill is feeling better.  He just came downstairs, and he doesn't look as green as he did earlier today.  He is going to make himself some ginger ale and honey tea, anything to keep his stomach from revolting like it did last night and early this morning.  That means I won't have to take him to the emergency clinic tomorrow.  One less worry off my mind.

My allergies have settled down; they'll probably be in full swing again tomorrow after the passage of the cold front.  Meanwhile, it's clouded up, and the sky is starting to turn darker to the west.

So far, no lightning or thunder, but the weather people say the weather is expected to deterioate as the storms migrate eastward.  As long as there's no tornadoes involved, I'll be happy; I don't like tornadoes at all!!

Well, before the weather turns bad, I'll get off here.  I will write again later, probably when we're at the Crawfish Festival.  I plan on doing so, anyway.  Anyway, I'm looking foward to it!

Take care, and may God bless you always!  Talk to you soon!  Au revoir!

~Love, your Cajun friend, Louie May. :D

Bill starting to get well, the Crawfish Festival approaching, after so many bad news, it is a relief that among so many daily bumps in their road the Sanduskkys still maintain the joie de vivre!

LOL at "It looks like a laundrymat threw up all over!" LOL Laundry, if not kept up with, can get away from a person - glad the Sandusky crew is feeling better. Well written, Karen!

(((HUGS))) and love, Karla.

I'm glad she's okay and busy. Just tonight I saw tornado damage on the tube news in several states. Real vicious those things are!!! Scares a person to death! Take care until next time.
