When the world hears of a disaster, aid floods in. Money, tents, medication, water and food find their way to the Nation''s capital.
That''s how it was in 2005 after the Earthquake in Pakistan. I went to assist traumatised children but the Pakistani Army wished me to run the camp at Mundihar. So I became the Camp Manager and with the assistance of UNCHR and UNESCO and the Pakistani Army, we ran an efficient camp at which people who had lost so much, began to live again in hope.
Compare that then with the Military Junta in Burma. 16 days after the monsoon children are dying because they have no fresh water nor food. The Army would only welcome Chinese Aid but China is manfully responding in their country''s dire need following their Earthquake.
The Military Junta in Burma should be ashamed of itself as each day it is committing mass murder by refusing to bring aid to the most destitute of their people.
