In all honest opinion, I'm going to be glad when "American Idol" is overwith and done tomorrow night. Tonight is the first half of the final for the show; tomorrow night, either David Cook or David Archuleta will emerge as the winner.
In any event, a guy named David is going to win; that's already been determined! LOL
I personally don't care for the show; never have, never will. I don't see what the big deal is about anyway; I personally think it's stupid. I also don't like "AGT" for the same reason, but at least on there, you've got variety; it's never dull, boring, or predictable!
One reason why I don't like "AI" is the stupid auditions at the start of the season. I mean, how some of those people can call them singers is beyond me. They couldn't sing themselves out of a bucket!!
Why they even try to get on there is something I can't even begin to understand!!
Now, some of the singers on past seasons have gone to superstardom (think Kelly Clarkson, Fantasia, Ruben Studdard, Carrie Underwood, Taylor Hicks, and Jordyn Sparks). Now David Cook (or David Archuleta, the youngster; he's only a few years older than me!), seems poised on to music immortality!
Don't ask me why I'm offering you my opinion; I just think David Archuleta is the better of the two Davids. :) He deserves to win; the kid has a very bright future in music!
Tomorrow night we'll go to the local pizza joint, where they're planning an "American Idol" watch party. We'll be there, probably cheering for David Archuleta.
I'm not so much into the "Idol" thing: my family is, though. So, I guess I'll go along; it's better than sitting home being bored to tears! LOL
And we can get free pizza, too! I always enjoy free food, especially if it's pizza!! YUMMERS!!
On Monday, we're going to Centennial Park for the annual Military tribute/celebration, in honor of Memorial Day. No school that day, which means I can sleep in to at least noon. Would be later, but we plan on being at the park by two for a day of free food, entertainment, and remembering our brave veterans from all wars, especially those who have gone Home (God bless them!).
To top it off, there'll be music from special guests Big and Rich, then a mammoth fireworks display. That'll be worth it right there! :) I love fireworks!!
After that, the Memorial Day tribute, we're going to the CMA Music Festival for a few days of country style fun and music. One of the best parts about the CMA Festival is you'll never know who'll be there. Even someone like Usher could come or some tv stars, and then the excitement is bumped up another notch!
Hopefully I'll see Dolly or Reba there--or maybe even Ronnie Milsap!! I love them so much!! Their music never gets old!
After that, it's the Monster's audition; but this is about ME, not her. So never mind! LOL I just hope she'll make it, but if she does, then I'll never hear the end of it! Oy, vey!! LOL
I don't think I could handle that!! LOL
In just a few weeks, school will be over. I hope to make it to grade ten come fall. If so, then I'll only have two years left of my "prison term". LOL School is starting to sound more like a prison while summer vacation is sounding more and more wonderful as the days creep by towards the end of the school year.
I can't wait to get to camp or any of the other fun activities our family has planned!
We may even go back to Ohio and go to Cedar Point again. That'd be cool; I love that park!! They have twenty million roller coasters (well, maybe not that many, but they DO have a bunch! LOL), and it's so neat to see the different rides to choose from! That's the best park I've been to in my LIFE!!
If we go to Cedar Point this year, I'll be sooooo happy I couldn't stand it!! LOL
I don't know all we have planned, but one thing IS certain: I won't be bored!! LOL
Well, I am going to go: have to take my evening meds, then go to bed, as I have school tomorrow. Hopefully I'll have another good day! Been having lots of those lately!
