Dear Journal~
Louie here. Louie Sandusky. Hope this finds you well.
It's a very slow day at the hospital, a rare thing when this happens. I'm bored; this is why I am writing in my journal while the gettin's good. Doesn't happen very often; when it does, I try to take advantage of it. *grins*
Have only two patients; working Orthopedics. Have a young man, Matthew, who broke both legs and an arm due to a bad motorcycle crash (they have him pretty well knocked out on heavy painkillers), and also Tasindra, a young lady who has JRA and is recovering from her latest joint-replacement surgery. She's sleeping like a baby, too. Both are stable, thank goodness, which makes my job a lot easier.
My daddy Armand is okay now: he had a bit of an angina flareup yesterday, but it was taken care of quickly, thanks to his heart medications. Therese, my step-maman, is watching him like a hawk. I pray he will continue to do well!
I pray my daddy lives a long time; but I can't control how long he does. Only God is the decider of that. I love my father with all my heart; he's been through so much in his eighty-some years on this earth. I am just glad he accepted Christ; I know when he does go, we'll be reunited in Heaven.
Just thinking of that has me lumpin' up; my eyes are filling with tears. I don't like the thought of thinking about my daddy dying...
I know death is as part of life as life itself, but it's still hard when it does happen.
Trust me. I know all too well the sting of death, but God's gotten me through the sad times each and every time, plus I have the love of family and friends to get me through. That's always reassuring.
Well, Tasindra's IV is sounding off again, have to see what's going on. I will write in here again soon; take care, and may God bless you!
(((HUGS))) and much love, your friend in Tennessee, Louie May. :(
A beautiful sharing, and bless you Karen for your strength and faith! My heart aches with yours and my thoughts and prayers are with you. Knowing your father is with the Lord is a blessing, but the pain of loss is still there, and will be, through the mourning time.Love and blessings to you!
Sad but the truth is Death happens. I like to think of it as God knowing His child has been through enough and He is there to ease the pain and suffering the best way He can, so He opens up His arms and takes them home. We all find our way of dealing with it one day at a time.
A touching write my friend, with many emotions flowing through every word. Death is a part of life, but knowing this doesn't make it any easier...but knowing that our loved ones made their peace with God is assurance that there will be a great family reunion in Heaven one day. Just imagine that eternally together...beautiful write filled with heart and soul...praying for you and Karla!
Blessings,
Joyce B.
Karla's right Karen you will get through this together and with all the love and prayers being sent your way. Take this time to reflect on memories of your dear father they will get you all through. Love and prayers, Bonnie
Let this coming of age story of a boy named Bean take you back to a simple time. Set in a small southern town in the 1960's, encircled by a river and gleaming white cotton fields.
A wicked Cajun Fairy named Robes Pierre entered the impenetrable Magical doll land of Sha Bebe. Queen Faustina, the ruler of the doll land, thought she had destroyed him, but he's back! Will the doll land survive his evil ways?
