A nauseated Kat is staying home from work; she is worried that it may affect the baby she's carrying inside her.

Weds., June 11, 2008, Fairbanks, Alaska~

Dear Journal~

Kat here.  Hope this finds y'all well; me, I am not worth a can of beans.  I am sick, very sick.  Extremely nauseated, can't keep nothin' down, not even water.  Thing jumped on me during the night.  Don't know if I have a virus or ate somethin' that didn't agree with me.

If I don't feel any better later, I am going to have Frank take me to the doctor's office, see what's going on.  I just pray, hope that whatever I have doesn't affect the baby growin' inside me.  If something should happen to the baby, I don't think I'd ever forgive myself...

Frank's fine; it's me that's fallin' apart at the seams.

The weather here is pretty: highs in the fifties to mid sixties at the most, partly cloudy.  Auroras are dancin' across the skies, but I'm too sick to enjoy 'em.  Have spent a good part of the night, parked at the toilet, if ya know what I mean.

It has been horrible!!!!

I wouldn't wish this on anyone; it's bad enough when I have this stuff!!  Frank, he hardly gets sick; seems that I get any little bug that happens to come traipsin' along!!  Ever since Katrina, that is.

Before I was in that damfool Katrina, I hardly had a sick day in my life; now it seems that I am in and out of the hospital for one thing or another.  Guess that b**** hurricane did more damage to my body than I thought!

Frank, he's a health food nut:  he always tryin' to get me to eat healthy, cut out the junk food.  Me, I need my food; it's comfort!!  When I don't work, I am usually at home, and I get bored; so what do I do but eat??  I'm becoming a regular little butterball, especially now that I'm pregnant!!

Oh yuck--have to--

I didn't make it.  Let's just say Frank has a mess to clean up...GROSS!!!

I feel bad; Frank's cleanin' it up, but I keep stealin' glances at him, afraid that he's gong to get annoyed, but he just carries on, like it's no big deal.  I absolutely HATE to throw up!!

Well, I am going to lie down, try to get some sleep; hopefully when I wake up later, this will be out of my system.  If not, it's on to my doctor's, as I said earlier; either way, I just have to have some relief from this!!  I will write in here again soon; hopefully by then I'll find out what I'm having.  (A baby. LOL)  I'll let you know then; stay tuned!

~Love, your (nauseated) friend, Kat. :P

Morning sickness! A terrible ordeal some expectant mothers go through. My sympathy to Kat. JMW

My doctor always said the sicker, the better... as it meant that the pregnancy was progressing well. (At least in the first trimester...) I always found that advice to be very true. When I wasn't sick, inevitably there was a problem...

Sorry to hear about your morning sickness, good news is that it will pass and before you know it, a little blessing will be in your lap.

Can sympathize with Kat: hate throwing up, myself. Least she's got a good man in Frank, willing to clean up - me, I'd be joining her! Well written, Karen, can feel that Kat is miserable.

(((HUGS))) and love, Karla.
